Maintenance Supervisor

OFS has an exciting opportunity available for an individual to join our team as Maintenance Supervisor supporting our local manufacturing operation in Sturbridge MA.

The Maintenance Supervisor will supervise and direct a staff of employees supporting Plant Services, Manufacturing Systems, and Systems Equipment in a manufacturing facility which operates 24/7.

The primary responsibilities of the position are as follow:

• Direct Supervision of the Plant Services Maintenance, Manufacturing Systems Maintenance, and Systems Equipment employees.

• Manage the design, planning, construction and maintenance of equipment, machinery, buildings, and other facilities located in Sturbridge.

• Plan, budget, and schedule facility modifications, including estimates on equipment, labor, materials and other related costs.

• Design and develop organizational policies relevant to the facilities department.

• Oversee the coordination of building space allocation and layout, communication services and facilities expansion.

• Hire, train, assign and check work of trades employees as to company policy and procedures, methods and practices, standards of performance and other matters affecting their work. Detect substandard work and take corrective action within the limits of established policy. Evaluate performance and confer with Equipment & Facilities Manager on personnel or other matters affecting trades employees.

• Perform other similar duties inherent to the position of Maintenance Supervisor, or as requested by Equipment & Facilities Manager.

The ideal candidate will have following qualifications:

• Associates Degree in Business or Technical field preferred.

• A minimum of five years' experience in related position or field,

• Proficient in MS software platform including Excel.

• Strong team player with exceptional communication skills.

• Must have an understanding of the interconnects of the business processes employed and the ability and willingness to seek continuous improvement on them.

• The willingness and ability to learn new concepts and functions as related to the position.
