Maintenance Supervisor - Nights

In order to continually promote and create innovative products that support our vision we are currently seeking a Night Shift Maintenance Supervisor

Responsibilities include:

• Supervises and monitors job performance of all general maintenance equipment mechanics, systems mechanics, machinist, general helpers, painters and oilers assigned to the shift and maintains necessary time keeping and attendance records.

• Works closely with Maintenance Planner/Scheduler to ensure proper utilization of all crafts and equipment availability.

• Ensures assignment and completion of all scheduled maintenance work on the shift and checks all work upon completion.

• Coordinates and communicates work schedules and job status with supervisors on other shifts and with the Plant Maintenance Manager.

• Trains all new assigned maintenance employees in elements of job and continually leads and trains all assigned personnel to upgrade their skills and job performance.

• Maintains good communications about equipment status, performance, and needs to Maintenance Manager and associated department managers.

• Generates innovative solutions/contingencies to ensure optimum equipment availability.

• Studies and becomes proficient with the Union Labor Agreement.

• Manages in accordance with corporate policies and procedures.

• Acts as Step #1 in the grievance process.

• Works closely with all team members (direct reports) to foster a team environment and strives to ensure resolution to any personnel or equipment issues.

• Establish, promote and maintain safe work habits and practices for all employees.

Qualified candidates will possess the following:

Education: Minimum High School diploma or equivalent. Some background and education in engineering preferrable.

Experience: Minimum of two years experience in maintenance.

Skill/Knowledge: Supervisory experience, knowledge in general maintenance work, sheet metal fabrication, and welding.

Other: Two months familiarization with existing equipment when starting job.
