The San Leandro Milk Plant, located in San Leandro, CA, has an opening for a Maintenance Supervisor. The anticipated pay range for this position is $105,400 - $125,700 annually.

Primarily responsible for supervising shift employees in maintenance who perform preventive maintenance operations on all production equipment in order to assist the facility in achieving maximum financial results from the plant's capital expenditures, maintenance expenditures, production equipment and fixed assets.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

• Plan, lead, direct preventive and all mechanical operational activities on the shift and give appropriate feedback to employees. Build teams and assign accountability. Develop a work environment within maintenance and manufacturing that promotes trust, teamwork, quality and safety.

• Ensure effective operational reliability through preventive maintenance compliance programs. Ensure regulatory compliance as appropriate (OSHA, AIB, EPA, FDA, USDA, HACCP, NFPA, etc.).

• Responsible for all processes on the shift. Oversee daily activities including preventative maintenance, overhaul schedules for sustained performance, and assist with capital projects which include working with the vendor.
  
  Plan, delegate and monitor progress on work assignments and projects. Develop team through training initiatives and ensuring they are current with licensing (electrical, refrigeration, ammonia, etc). Drive WCM/ TPM initiatives.

• Managed to assigned financial budget targets, typically labor mgt, capital (equipment) assets, waste mgt and efficiency. Ensure compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley.
  
  Maintain and utilize new technology to assist facility in lean manufacturing principles and processes to maximize line efficiency. Identify cost cutting measures.

KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE:

Education Level: The most appropriate minimum education for this position is a Bachelor's degree in Engineering.

Specialization: Knowledge and experience with PLC, certification in mechanical, electrician, programming and/or robotics, pneumatics, hydraulics, boilers, and ammonia refrigeration an added plus.

Experience Level: The most appropriate level of experience for this position is 2 years plus the education and/or specializations listed above.

Skills and Background: Proven understanding of production operations and engineering requirements.

Ability to manage and develop employees. Working experience with equipment and capital projects. Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing.

Proven time management skills. Working knowledge of CMMS program, PLC's, MS applications including proficiency with Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and the ability to grasp additional business related applications.
