ELS is hiring for the position of Maintenance Supervisor in Murrells Inlet, South Carolina.

What you'll do:

The Maintenance Supervisor of a 55+ retirement manufactured home community located in Murrells Inlet SC will be responsible for the overall beautification of the Resident Clubhouse, Pavilion, Swimming Pool and Maintenance Shop ensuring all areas are in good condition. Primary role includes but not limited to maintaining all landscaping activities throughout the community common areas while under the direction of the Property Manager.

Your job will include:

  • Mowing and maintaining all common areas within the community using a zero turn riding mower and all landscaping equipment & tools necessary.

  • Inspecting and cleaning the resident Clubhouse exterior/interior on a routine basis.

  • Conduct regular inspections on all equipment, buildings and grounds .

  • Review and prioritize additional work orders in a timely manner.

  • Participate and assist Property Manager with special projects.

  • Complete safety and compliance required training in a timely manner via computer. Must have complete and thorough knowledge of recording hours worked with usage of a time clock.

  • Ability to handle a variety of tasks while working the majority of the time outdoors.

  • Participate in the preparation of the annual community budget with respect to maintenance projects and capital expenditures.

  • Maintain all log books and materials specific to maintenance of the Community Swimming Pool. Must be willing to obtain company paid Pool Operator Certification.

  • Working independently and self motivated while having a sense of pride and ownership.

  • Handle activities that arise due to inclement weather.

  • Respond to emergencies that may occur after normal business hours.

  • Communicate regularly and professionally with Property Manager

  • Assist with and attend community-sponsored activities and functions.

Experience & skills you bring:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

  • Knowledge of computers navigating various software programs.

  • Previous groundskeeping experience.

  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work with heavy equipment.

  • Valid driver's license, good driving record and current auto insurance.

  • Good work ethic.
