The Magna Exteriors portfolio of products includes access systems such as liftgates, exterior trim, modular systems, front-end modules including fascia, active aerodynamic systems and other lightweight structural components for automotive, commercial truck and other industrial markets.

About the Role

This position reports directly to the Maintenance Manager and is responsible for the general and specific job duties as described below:

Your Responsibilities

• Preform maintenance tasks such as interfacing with the process control t4eam and react to urgent requests that could impact production.

• Prioritize maintenance requests; distribute daily job assignments, review maintenance logs and daily supervisory responsibilities of the maintenance team.

• Coordinate activities of contractors performing work on-site.

• Lead continuous improvement activities of the maintenance team for reducing maintenance downtime.

• Measure the success of the maintenance team through trend analysis and categorize these trens.

Who we are looking for

• Basic computer knowledge an asset.

• Must have associates degree in related & technical field of study. Six years work related experience may be substituted in lieu of degree. A combination of schooling toward a degree & work experience will be considered.

• Responsible for the overall operation, direction, and supervisory duties of the maintenance department.

• Ensuring all employees, under your guidance, have received all required training to perform their job safely.

Your preferred qualifications

• Engineering degree not required but would be an asset.

• Minimum two years in a supervisory position.

• Demonstrate organizational and communication skills.
