Job Description Summary Great opportunity for a Maintenance Supervisor for Lonzas Mapleton location! This person will be supervising, assigning and reviewing the work of staff responsible for the maintenance of the plant, equipment, machinery and related facilities. The Maintenance Supervisor ensures quality work and adherence to established policies and procedures.
This person will provides technical expertise and direction related to complex tasks relative to assigned area of responsibility. Job Description Plan, prioritize, assign, supervise and review work of staff responsible for maintenance activities for plant with 24/7 operations. Establish schedules and methods for providing maintenance and repair services; identify resource needs (internal and external). Review needs with appropriate staff and allocate resources accordingly.
Participate in policy and contract adherence, monitor work activities for compliance and make recommendations for change. Monitor and maintain all tooling, equipment, part levels and spending in accordance with plant needs and budgetary requirements. Ensure work is completed timely and accurately in accordance with established schedules and in compliance with site PM program.
Monitors and recommends training for all direct reports based on the needs of the department. Is knowledgeable of and complies with all safety policies, rules and procedures. Act as primary point of contact for outside contractors during installations and repairs.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Bachelor degree or equivelent experience preferred The ideal candidate will have 7 to 10 years of experience as a mechanic coming from an industrial setting or military background Previous experience supervising is preferred Ability to communicate effectively Lonza is an equal opportunity employer.
