TransCore, (TRN) a subsidiary of Roper Technologies, Inc. (NYSE: ROP) is seeking a full-time Maintenance Supervisor to join our team in Richmond, VA. Limited travel for extended period of times during installation projects may be required. This position has responsibility for supervising the system-wide maintenance for the company's Richmond Metropolitan Transportation Authority (RMTA) project. Assists in the coordination of technical and administrative support activities including installation, repair, preventative and system-wide maintenance. Ensures adequate records and systems are maintained. Schedules personnel responding to critical situations. Maintains communication between field personnel and management teams to ensure proper procedures and policies are followed. This is a hands-on role and the qualified candidate must be capable of determining the most effective means to performing system-wide maintenance to maximize efficiency.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Schedules crews to cover maintenance and/or installation activities.
Monitors preventative and predictive maintenance tasks and schedules.
Performs quality control inspections.
Reports and supports system related issues.
Provides daily, weekly and monthly reports of activities to manager.
Limited travel for extended period of times during installation projects may be required
Assists with equipment and system troubleshooting.
Supervises and monitors performance of field support personnel.
Coordinates efforts with Field Support Manager for operational activities.
Performs preventative and predictive maintenance.
Diagnoses and repairs hardware, software, and system issues.
Reports technical status of system with accuracy and completeness.
Works with higher level support personnel on responding to issues.
Ensures that company policies, standards and best practices are adhered to and that project safety and traffic control requirements are being met.
Mentors, trains, evaluates and supervises current and new maintenance personnel.
Directly supervises Field Support and Maintenance staff. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Required Education, Skills, and Experience:
Associates degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college, technical school or a combination of education, military training and work experience.
Five years' experience leading a maintenance team in a technical field.
Requires some weekends and evenings.
Excellent task prioritization and management skills.
Ability to interact with vendors, customers, contractors and employees at all levels of the organization.
Ability to work independently with latitude to identify issues and recommend solutions, and work as part of a team.
Ability to make decisions while being critiqued or held responsible "under fire".
Proven negotiating, interpersonal and both written and verbal communication skills.
Strong problem solving and decision-making skills.
Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to effectively communicate with individuals at all levels of company management.
Demonstrated ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
Proficiency in personal computer skills, including electronic mail, record keeping, routine database activity, word processing, spreadsheet, and graphics.
Ability to multi-task and be very organized as well as have a strong attention to detail and have sound judgment.
Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office/Microsoft Project.
Previous supervisory experience
Desired Skills & Experience:
Bachelor's Degree (B.A.) from a four-year college in Engineering, Transportation Engineering or a related field.
Transportation Sector, Tolling or Engineering experience
Background in Electronics and RF communications.
Knowledge with Maintenance of Traffic (MOT).
