POSITION SUMMARY DESCRIPTION:

Administration of a building maintenance program for the corporate facilities and equipment to ensure a high level of operating efficiency. Responsible for maintaining highest standard in periodic and daily maintenance, cleaning and care of an office and warehouse facility.

ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Supervise contractors for on-site maintenance, coordinate projects and provide assistance as necessary (i.e., office cleaning, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, etc., including utilities and government agencies.)

  • Supervise the cleaning service staff.

  • Administration of building and equipment maintenance database.

  • Maintain and repair all office equipment, either personally (preferred) or with appropriate outside services.

  • Purchase and installation of equipment and materials to improve the facilities and operations as required.

  • Administer shipping/receiving of orders and supplies at the receiving dock to include loading and unloading of trucks.

  • Oversight of opening and closing the facility including arming of alarm system.

  • Regular inspection, maintenance, and minor service of company vehicles, plus coordination of professional service when appropriate.

  • Perform Forklift and Skid Steer Inspections and maintenance.

  • Lawn care and grounds maintenance, or coordination of professional service when appropriate.

  • Snow Removal including Plow, Skid Steer and Snowblower operation as needed (on call 24/7, unless pre-arranged) to keep parking lot and building accessible at all times, or coordination of outside services if chosen by the company. Perform lawncare and snow removal equipment inspections and maintenance.

  • Inspection of all fire extinguishers in all buildings for compliance. Inspection and testing of all Emergency Lighting.

  • Daily cleaning/sanitizing of cafeteria and preparation of meeting rooms. Periodic organization of warehouse. Maintain all office and warehouse supplies and place orders with vendors, and keep kitchens and bathrooms stocked with appropriate supplies.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Excellent people skills, including written and oral communications

  • Ability to work without supervision and make independent decisions

  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft products

  • Experience with database management software products

  • Mechanical service/maintenance skills and knowledge of electrical equipment maintenance (i.e. vehicle oil changes, brake service, replacement of light switches, ballasts, etc.)

  • Automotive and Lawn/snow removal equipment maintenance service experience preferred

EDUCATIONAL OR EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent

  • 2 - 3 years in service field preferred

  • Valid Wisconsin's Drivers License

  • Availability to attend to building emergency alarm notices 24/7.

  • After hours availability as needed

  • Maintenance tasks may require bending pushing, pulling and lifting (<60 lbs="" li="">

  • Forklift/skid steer experience/certification preferred (will train if needed)
