Job Description

FBG Service Corporation an employee owned company is currently taking applications for a full time Maintenance Supervisor to manage projects and the daily activities of a maintenance team.

Essential Job Functions:

Exhibits strong commitment to the service needs of the client and their property.

Manage and motivate team of maintenance workers in successfully completing job objectives.

Represents the company in a professional and courteous manner.

Knowledge of facility maintenance.

Establishes daily work schedules for maintenance staff by reviewing daily service requests and maintenance staff to ensure a 24 hour response time.

Performs maintenance on facility lawn care and snow removal equipment.

As needed, performs lawn care and snow removal services to campus grounds.

Follows and maintains the preventative maintenance programs and schedules within the company and educate staff to follow OSHA, state and federal regulations.

Ensures the maintenance team is professional in appearance and demeanor at all times.

Immediately reports and corrects all maintenance issues by: diagnosing,

performing minor, and routine maintenance/repairs to all affected areas.

Responsible for the supply and upkeep of all chemicals, tools and/or assigned equipment of the property in a safe manner according to company policy.

Maintains a clean and safe work environment.

Other duties assigned.

Job Qualifications:

18 years of age or older

High School or GED (General Education Diploma) preferred

A minimum of three (3) or more years of maintenance experience

A minimum of three (3) or more years of supervisory experience

A valid driver’s license is required

CDL license is preferred or ability to get one

Familiar with using construction equipment

Ability to work an on-call schedule as required to meet the needs of the client’s property

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Excellent time management skills; ability to prioritize work functions

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

A positive, team-oriented attitude

Ability to work with a diverse group of people and customers.

Physical Demands:

The work requires frequent standing, walking, bending, twisting, stooping, kneeling, crouching and occasionally lift up to fifty pounds unassisted.

Further responsibilities detailed below: * Ensures operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements on engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machines; following diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer's instructions, and engineering specifications; troubleshooting malfunctions. * Locates sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation; listening for problems; using precision measuring and testing instruments. * Removes defective parts by dismantling devices; and hand and power tools; examining form and texture of parts. * Repairs equipment and/or completes work orders assigned by the Maintenance Manager. * Determines changes in dimensional requirements of parts by inspecting used parts; using rules, calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments. * Adjusts functional parts of devices and control instruments by using hand tools, levels, plumb bobs, and straightedges. * Controls downtime by informing production workers of routine preventive maintenance techniques; monitoring compliance. * Fabricates repair parts by using machine shop instrumentation and equipment. * Maintains equipment, parts, and supplies inventories by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed equipment, parts, and supplies; placing and expediting orders; verifying receipt. * Conserves maintenance resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results. * Provides mechanical maintenance information by answering questions and requests. * Prepares mechanical maintenance reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends. * Maintains technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing technical publications; establishing personal networks. * Maintains continuity among work teams by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs. * Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, LOTO and PPE policies, and regulations. * Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
