Position Info


The Maintenance Supervisor manages the property's maintenance and facilities operations to maintain the physical condition and appearance of a property that will enhance the value of the community. Communicates and utilizes company operating and safety standards. Supervises maintenance staff. Maintains property's equipment and machinery. Develops and adheres to maintenance budget and expenditures


  • Supervise maintenance team for one or more properties

  • Schedule and assists with daily operations and after-hours maintenance assignments

  • Train maintenance staff and assists with problems beyond the team's abilities

  • Monitor inventory and purchase of maintenance supplies. Prepare purchase orders, requisitions, and contracts for maintenance equipment, supplies and services

  • Develop and adheres to maintenance budget

  • Monitor completion of preventive maintenance schedule and conducts apartment and property inspections

  • Complete daily operations and tracking of service orders, apartment turnovers, etc

  • Foster a positive, active and collaborative relationship with residents, communities and associated agencies

  • Enforce and adheres to company policies, rules and regulations

  • Assure safety practices are used which comply with all company, local, city, state and federal guidelines

  • Follow Bridge policies and procedures and comply with Fair Housing, state and federal laws

  • Regular, on-time attendance

  • Special projects and other responsibilities as assigned



  • Ability to manage maintenance staff

  • Knowledgeable and skilled in the safe use of hand tools and small power tools

  • Working knowledge of electrical, plumbing, painting, masonry and carpentry and HVAC systems

  • Ability to communicate with residents, co-workers, subordinates and management

  • Ability to handle emergency and pressure sensitive situations due to complexity and time sensitivity when resolving problems

  • Available to perform emergency repairs at all times (24 hours/day)

  • Ability to climb up to 40 feet

  • Color vision and the ability to hear


  • High school graduate or equivalent

  • 7-10 years of related building or property maintenance supervisory work experience

  • Inside and outside in all weather conditions

We are currently searching for a Maintenance Supervisor to work at The Groves located in Mesa, AZ. General Purpose of the Position: Responsible for all aspects of facility and maintenance equipment. Must be competent in the scheduled maintenance and repair of the apartment appliances, HVAC, electrical systems, plumbing, and any special equipment. The Maintenance Supervisor must be experienced and knowledgeable about maintenance assigned to a given property, and must conduct maintenance training for others assigned to the property. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: * All aspects of facility and maintenance equipment. * The Maintenance Supervisor must be experienced and knowledgeable about maintenance assigned to a given property. * Must conduct maintenance training for others assigned to the property. * Must possess the knowledge and have the tools to perform on-site basic repairs including HVAC systems, appliances, water heaters, facility electrical systems, plumbing systems, and any other special equipment on a property. * Required to be available for emergency maintenance calls 24 hours a day when scheduled. * Performs minor carpentry duties. * Performs Preventive Maintenance to include winterizing facilities to prevent minimum freeze damage during cold weather, make periodic inspections of HVAC systems, winterize swimming pool equipment and systems, clean the swimming pool and maintain the proper chemical balance of the pool during the swimming season, and ensure all lights/HVAC are turned off in vacant units on a daily basis. * Trains other Envolve Client Services Group maintenance personnel in the areas of trouble shooting and repairs and inspects the quality of work of the other maintenance personnel. * Conduct a joint interview of maintenance applicant with Community Manager. * Must be capable of performing administrative duties including following proper procedures for recording maintenance requests and responding to them, use proper forms, and maintain inventory of parts. * Must be able to move heavy equipment safely, using proper equipment. * Perform other duties, as assigned. Education and Work Experience Requirements * Eight (8) to ten (10) years maintenance experience required. * College degree preferred * Must be HVAC and EPA certified. * Must have valid driver's license. * Previous multifamily experience required. * Certified Pool Operator (CPO) certification preferred.
