Barton 1792 Distillery is part of Barton Brands of Kentucky, with facilities in Bardstown, Kentucky; Carson, California; and Baltimore, Maryland. Barton Brands is owned by the Sazerac Company, an American family-owned company based in New Orleans, La. Barton 1792 Distillery was established in 1879 and continues today as the oldest fully-operating distillery in the "Bourbon Capital of the World."
The distillery is located on 196 acres and includes 28 warehouses, 22 other buildings, the Morton Spring and the Tom Moore Spring. Distilling, aging and bottling fine Bourbon whiskey are hallmarks of the historic Barton 1792 Distillery. 1792 Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey is produced at Barton 1792 Distillery. This small batch Bourbon whiskey is named for the year Kentucky became a state and is the recent Best of Category winner at the 2014 Los Angeles International Wine & Spirits Competition.
The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for (but not limited to) the following:
Supervises the skilled mechaniscs and electricians to efficiently repair and PM packaging, distillation, processing, shipping, barrel warehousing, and plant admin. equipment.
Responsible for anticipating and communicating relevant issues and objectives to the Maintenance Manager(s) and techs.
Lead maintenance to ensure plant operates at a reliable level for operations to achieve the highest efficiency and quality through support of capital planning, systems controls, project management and overall maintenance.
Ensure adherence to all Personal Safety, Food Safety, Quality and Environmental Policies and Practices.
Supports safety program through ongoing preventive and reactive maintenance.
Assist with exceeding customer expectations through management of the Plant Maintenance department to achieve operational uptime in support to delivering product to the customer that meets quality standards and is delivered on time and within budget.
Consult with operations on cost savings projects applying expertise to recommend new methodologies and equipment to ensure production efficiency, maximize output and prevent down time.
