Job Description & Requirements

The Maintenance Supervisor directly supervises maintenance employees on assigned shifts to ensure the effective delivery of maintenance services and support production in a 24-hour 7-day per week operation. This includes planning, assigning and directing work, coordinating weekly CI Meetings, addressing product and employee complaints, and resolving problems. This person carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the company's policies, OSHA regulations and applicable laws while following all CI Processes and the Management Operating Structure (MOS).

  • Collaborates with the plant engineer, maintenance manager, and facility management to utilize equipment to improve employee safety, production quality, equipment reliability, and overall equipment effectiveness.

  • Supervises both the maintenance and capital projects for the site.

  • Utilizes mechanical and electrical expertise to maintain production systems, utilities, buildings and grounds.

  • Utilizes a computerized maintenance management system to optimize asset utilization through scheduled preventative maintenance.

  • Implements corrective actions identified by key maintenance performance indicators as a means to create overall equipment effectiveness.

  • Remains current with latest and emerging industry regulations and codes relative to mechanical and electrical systems design and operation.

  • Ensures corporate policies and standards are followed in both capital project implementation as well as daily maintenance.

  • Shares "best practices" within the Maintenance Department.

  • Engages in the typical responsibilities of a manager requiring planning, evaluating, organizing, integrating, and delegating.

  • Provides for the management of employees directly or through supervisors to ensure effective selection, retention, development, disciplinary action and performance management. If a collective bargaining agreement exists, may participate in negotiations, grievances or other contract related activities and discussions.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements:
* High school diploma or equivalent.

  • Minimum of 2 years plant maintenance experience.

  • Familiarity with Good Manufacturing Practices.

  • Experience leading and following Safety/Security Policies and Procedures.

  • Ability to follow all Sanitation and Quality Policies and Procedures, and report and follow through on any deficiencies.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and computer based applications.

  • Excellent verbal/written communication skills.

  • Ability to adapt to changing organizational and operational needs; ability to lead others through change.

  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

  • Skill in organization, prioritization, and attention to detail.

  • Strong team player and leader with the ability to work across multiple functions and disciplines.

  • Ability to select, coach, develop, engage, and retain a team of employees.

  • Must be able to pass all pre* employment screens (including drug, background and criminal checks).

In this position, you will be responsible for the pickup, transport and delivery of medical specimens, lab supplies and reports, while providing excellent service to our clients. Included with this position is a company vehicle to use for the route. In addition, for only $100 per month, you will have the option of taking this vehicle home with you and using it for personal use. Job Duties/Responsibilities: * Load all necessary suppliers needed for the daily pickups * Complete daily pick up schedule in a timely manner * Deliver all daily picks to your branch at the end of your shift * Handle all specimens and lab samples in safe and efficient manner * Safely operate company vehicle and obey all traffic laws * Utilize handheld electronic device to manage daily picks up * Work directly with dispatcher for additional pick-ups as needed * Evaluate traffic patterns, alternative routes and weather conditions as needed Requirements * High School Diploma or equivalent * Must have a Valid Driver's License and good driving record * Must be at least 21 years old * Previous driver/courier experience is preferred * Customer service experience is a plus * Very punctual with strong time management skills * Strong attention to detail and organizational skills * Ability to problem solve customer issues * Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
