Position Summary:

This is a second shift position that supervises, plans, and schedules multiple shifts of Maintenance hourly associates in the activities required to assure maximum machine output with required product quality and with minimum downtime for all production equipment. Responsibilities include knowledge of Material Flow (Industrial), Mechanical and Electrical systems.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Role model behaviors in all aspects of integrity, trust, respect, safety, teamwork, positive attitude, information sharing, sense of urgency and work ethic.

  • Proven understanding of general building interior and exterior construction and maintenance.

  • Analyze, organize, plan and schedule all preventative and breakdown repair activities. Capability to serve as maintenance planning system administer, effectively building and organizing equipment hierarchy linked to store room stock inventory parts.

  • Assess and track trade team competency and job performance. Develop and implement ongoing training programs to improve performance of assigned resources.

  • Define requirements and assist in procurement of parts, materials and tools required by the Maintenance Department to perform job changes, machine repairs, machine inspections and maintenance efforts.

  • Project Management - champion strategic preventative maintenance and work order compliance. Develop equipment rebuild strategy and schedule that meets requirement deadlines.

  • Assist in developing and implementing predictive maintenance measures.

  • Champion efforts that measure and improve maintenance work technical quality.

  • Assure aggressive programs to meet or exceed plant goals in the areas of PMS, compliance, energy conservation, safety, security and fire protection equipment, facility services, labor utilization and space utilization.

  • Assist in management of department budget and capital project plans.

  • Responsibilities also include managing building systems inside and out (Heating, Ventilation, and Security.)

Qualifications:

  • Minimum education: Associates Degree with demonstrated 1st Level Supervisory experience leading industrial maintenance teams or 5 plus years of successful, safe maintenance team leadership in a manufacturing environment.

  • Proven leadership capability participating in cross-functional teams.

  • Working knowledge of Box Sealers, Box Formers, Palletizing, machines is a plus.

  • Hands on experience using maintenance software to create equipment hierarchy and manage preventative maintenance scheduling and document equipment history in SAP.

  • Demonstrated skills in communicating (written and oral) with peers, team members, executive management and with others in the industry.

  • Ability to pass basic mechanical and electrical certification testing.

  • Knowledge and working experience managing parts store rooms and inventory control is desired.

  • Experience utilizing MS Project, Word, Excel, SAP, PowerPoint and CAD software.

  • Critical thinking, strong interpersonal skills, ability to develop others.

  • At minimum basic knowledge of building trades, such as plumbing, electrical, flooring, roofing and carpentry.
