The Maintenance Coordinator II under the direction of the Facilities and Maintenance Manager, will be responsible for scheduling manufacturing and maintenance work as well as contractor activities for our Hidden Lake 2 location. The incumbent will work seamlessly with maintenance supervision.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare preventative maintenance schedules that are aligned with the organization's production goals.

  • Coordinate planned downtimes to reduce meantime between failures and minimize interference with production schedule.

  • Provide communication between maintenance and Operations to ensure that information given is timely, efficient, and of quality service.

  • Work within the CMMS System to:

  • Define updates needed to CMMS.

  • Assist with training on CMMS.

  • Assist with continuous improvement ideas on Preventative Maintenance Tasks.

  • Manage Maintenance Records and procedures.

  • Generate monthly updates for management.

  • Identify recurring maintenance issues to escalate to management.

  • Manage work order accuracy and ensure off shift work orders are complete and communicated to off shift staff.

  • Maintain a good working relationship and consult daily with production and maintenance management to prioritize maintenance work.

  • Monitor, report and publish maintenance KPI's

  • Assist in developing optimal parts inventory with CMMS management.

Personal Qualities

  • Three (3) years' experience performing preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and repair, or comparable experience.

  • Five (5) years' experience with the use of CMMS to monitor and document Maintenance Work

  • Experience optimizing and implementing Preventative Maintenance (PM)

  • Use logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems

  • Ability to successfully prioritize tasks with little supervision in both team and independent environments

  • Strong verbal and written skills necessary to communicate intricate job-related information

  • Math skills to include simple addition, subtraction, multiplication and division

  • Mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot complex problems including knowledge of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and piping/pump systems

  • Ability to effectively manage and execute multiple tasks, simple to complex projects and priorities

  • Experience using Microsoft Office, including the ability to modify basic reports, documents and spreadsheets in MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint and Teams

Qualifications

  • Highly experienced in the use Microsoft office suite of programs and CMMS programs. Computer literate.

  • 8 years' experience as a maintenance scheduler in a 24/7 manufacturing facility

  • 2 years' experience ordering/securing parts

  • 5 years' experience in contractor scheduling and safety

  • Experienced at building good relationships with vendors and contractors

  • Experienced in project quotation process

  • Prefer previous hands on maintenance floor level experience

Working Conditions

  • Environmentally controlled manufacturing plant with optical fiber coloring, plastic extrusion and metal forming processes.

Minimum Education

  • Associate Degree, or 6 years verifiable

  • Preferred degree in maintenance related field
