Maintenance Repair Specialist 1

The Position

Maintenance Repair Specialists perform a variety of skilled work in two or more of the mechanical and construction trades in order to repair, construct, and/or maintain buildings, grounds and equipment.

Incumbents possess a degree of knowledge and proficiency sufficient to perform work independently with little or no additional training.

This position is with the Department of Administration, State Public Works Division, Buildings and Grounds Section. It is supervised by the Facility Supervisor 3.

It is located in Las Vegas. The work schedule for this position is Monday through Friday and the hours are 7 am to 4 pm with a one-hour lunch. This position will be performing journey level, skilled work in the building and mechanical trades to repair, construct, alter and/or maintain buildings, facilities, equipment and grounds maintenance on an "as needed basis" for all State facilities under the jurisdiction of the Division in Southern Nevada, in accordance with established policies and procedures, and within the position's scope of responsibility.
