As we continue to grow, we are seeking a responsible and detail-oriented professional to join our team as a Maintenance Project Technician II in our Lawrence, KS location.
A Maintenance Technician II is Responsible for performing a variety of technical duties relating to mechanical, electrical, preventive maintenance and fabrication functions. The differences between classifications are the level of mastery of the essential functions, the degree of supervision required when performing these functions, and the amount of lead direction provided to others. Project Technician 2: Journey-level class. The Technician works under general supervision, independently performing the essential functions at an advanced level.
ESSENTIAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Installation and relocation of equipment throughout the facility.
Troubleshoot and or repair electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic and mechanical components.
Provides support in areas of fabrication, assembly, welding, burning, cutting, pipefitting, and machining.
Work from oral and written instructions.
Understand and comply with all parts ordering and issuing procedures.
Maintains adherence to company policy, safety standards, and good housekeeping practices.
Assumes other duties as assigned by supervisor.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Requires ability to work off ladders, scaffolding and scissors lifts.
Requires ability to do extended amounts of walking.
TYPICAL DUTIES:
Fabrication of Continuous Improvement projects.
Fabrication of engineering projects.
Facility repair and maintenance.
Performs preventive maintenance tasks.
Install and rearrange equipment.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED (EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS):
Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
Ability to operate forklifts and other equipment.
High school graduate or equivalent.
4 Years' experience in the field of fabrication.
