Job Description:

The Dunklin R-5 School District is seeking a Maintenance Technician to join the Dunklin R-5 maintenance department. The Maintenance Technician is responsible for providing students, staff, and the community with an attractive, safe, and comfortable environment in Dunklin R-5 schools and facilities.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Complete general labor, maintenance, and delivery responsibilities throughout the school district.
• Complete tasks in specific trade areas sufficient to deal with complex maintenance problems.
• Report immediately to the director of maintenance any damage to school property and any major repairs needed.
• Basic electrical knowledge.
• Basic plumbing knowledge.
• Work long-term assignments at specific school sites as needed.
• Undergo such training as deemed necessary by the director of maintenance to maintain skill levels in area of responsibility.
• Comply with all Dunklin R-5 School Board of Education policies.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Maintenance.

Qualifications

Education/Experience

General building and grounds and maintenance skills sufficient to effectively serve a building complex would be helpful.

Needs Valid Drivers License

Starting Date: Immediately upon approval

Starting Salary: Commensurate with experience. Starts at Step 1, $39,089.00
