INSIDE MAINTAINER II

DISTRICT WIDE

Description:

• 7:00 a.m.

• 3:30 p.m. (Monday

• Friday) -- Home base at Cheshire High School

• Performs skilled mechanical work and semi-skilled trades work in the maintenance, repair and renovation of school building equipment and facilities.

• Performs HVAC system, plumbing, general electrical distribution and low-voltage system repairs and performs general/preventive maintenance work as needed.

• May be required to respond to on-call emergencies twenty-four (24) hours per day for a period of at least 7 consecutive calendar days on a rotating basis.

Qualifications:

Experience with electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical repairs required, license(s) (BI, B2, D1, D2, S1 or S2 preferred). Ability to efficiently execute detailed oral and/or written instructions; read blueprint/schematic drawings and riser diagrams, relate professionally to students, staff and the public and able to work in all exterior weather conditions without restrictions. Moves equipment, materials and supplies as needed to complete tasks (ability to lift and carry objects of 25 - 50 pounds). Responsibilities include custodial coverage and snow removal.

Salary:

In accordance with Agreement between Cheshire Board of Education and the International Union of Operating Engineers, Local 30. Starting Salary $34.16/hour. Benefits Available.
