We have an exciting opportunity for a Maintenance Planner / Scheduler to join our team at the Renwick, Iowa location.

What You'll Do:

  • Oversee preventative maintenance program and maintain parts/supplies inventory, including sourcing appropriate vendors as needed

  • Adhere to all safety, quality, and productivity standards and requirements

  • Lead, implement and practice safety programs and policies

  • Support Process Safety Management and location safety efforts

  • Establish positive working relationships with internal and external partners

  • Foster a supportive and positive work environment

  • Facilitate clear communication and collaboration across all departments

  • Supervise and schedule maintenance work

  • Conduct seasonal prep work including annual preventative maintenance, repairs, and improvements

  • Repair equipment in-house or outsource as needed

  • Coordinate, troubleshoot and assist with equipment and facility repairs

  • Lead, assist and complete grounds and facility maintenance as needed

  • Maintain the condition of the plant shop and maintenance tools

  • Utilize predictive maintenance tools to detect and remedy future machine failures

  • Assure proper set-up, calibration, operation, and preventative maintenance of equipment, machines, and facilities

  • Create, continually update, and train on preventative maintenance plans for various equipment

  • Maintain detailed equipment records and prints

  • Collect and record data for continuous improvement projects and production records

  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Education:

  • You have a High School diploma/GED equivalent

What Skills You Need:

  • You have a valid US driver's license

  • You possess good written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with internal and external customers and vendors

  • You demonstrate integrity, communicate concerns, acceptance of change, and promote a positive work environment by being an initiative-taker and assist team members on a consistent basis

  • You know how to schedule work/jobs and you do a great job of following-up on completion status

  • You have high diligence, can multitask, maintain an organized workplace and excellent critical thinking skills

  • You have a good understanding of maintaining/repairing, hydraulic systems, pneumatic systems, mechanical power transmission systems, electrical systems, welding, and fabrication work

  • You are willing and able to work in environments that include tight or closed-in spaces, climb stairs/ladders, working at heights, stand or walk for extended periods of time, frequent bending/reaching, working in a dusty environment, working outdoors, and in inclement weather. Stand and sit for extended periods, lift up to fifty (50) lbs., and perform work that involves repetitive motion and lifting

  • You are comfortable with technology and possess an excellent computer aptitude including the use of Microsoft Applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.), and are willing and able to learn other company specific applications as required

  • You can work both independently and in a team environment with limited supervision.

  • You are willing and able to work a rotating 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shift schedule, as well as overtime hours, including off shift, on-call availability, weekend work, and holidays, as needed during emergency downtime repairs and scheduled shutdowns

What Makes You Stand Out:

  • Two-Year Technical or Associates Degree in Maintenance, Agriculture, Manufacturing, Electrical, or related field

  • Experience with R/3, CMMS (EMaint) for work orders and parts inventory.

  • Automation skills

  • PLC knowledge

Knowledge of LEAN Manufacturing principles such as 5S, Continuous Improvement and Standardized Work

Previous experience or knowledge of heating/cooling, refrigeration, security, materials handling equipment (i.e., conveyors, elevator legs, packaging equipment, etc.) or other mechanical/electrical systems

Work Authorization and Relocation:

  • VISA Sponsorship is NOT available for this position

  • This position does NOT offer a comprehensive domestic relocation package

Site Dedicated (100% at Corteva location):

  • This role will be on-site at our Corteva location
