TrinityRail Maintenance Services is hiring a Maintenance Planner / Scheduler in Shell Rock, Iowa!

This individual will provide work planning, scheduling, and preparation to ensure efficient execution of required maintenance functions. The Maintenance Planner / Scheduler responsibility is a major role of the centralized proactive maintenance planning environment.

What You'll Do:

  • Support the execution of maintenance work by receiving, planning, estimating, analyzing, and coordinating maintenance work orders

  • Ensure the timeliness and coordinated availability of parts, materials, special tools, equipment, labor hours and skills required for orderly and efficient work execution

  • Maintain an accurate hierarchy in the CMMS (EAM)

  • Dictate clear and concise work procedures

  • Conduct field walk downs to identify and document job requirements

  • Follow and enforce safety procedures, including lock-out/tag-out procedures are available to employees. Ensure that all aspects of the existing company safety policy are incorporated into the job plan

  • Maintain engineering or technical documents, specifications, and drawings

  • Compile information into a job package that is ready for skilled trades - clearly communicate with skilled trades regarding critical steps in the process

  • Communicate with skilled trades regarding ideas and procedures that would make future jobs more efficient

  • Coordinate priority setting with the management team - placing specific emphasis on obtaining the input of operations personnel in the setting of priorities

  • Participate in outage planning activities such as scope identification and control, scheduling, coordination, risk assessment, execution, and continuous improvement

  • Communicate with contractor resources directly on specific work orders assigned to the contractors and the performance expectations of the work order

  • Participate with Maintenance Department personnel on improvement projects, particularly when they are related to the proactive maintenance plan (CBM and PM)

  • Compile and analyze reports from CMMS (EAM) regarding the work execution management process

  • Verify that supervisors and craft personnel have adequate knowledge of maintenance procedure formats

  • Verify maintenance workflow continuity

  • Other duties as assigned

What You Need:

  • Extensive knowledge of maintenance and repair of large and sophisticated equipment

  • High School Diploma or equivalent with 5 years of experience in industrial electrical or mechanical maintenance required

  • Outstanding communication and administrative skills

  • Proficiency in the use of a personal computer, must be able to store, retrieve, and analyze data from the CMMS and network applications

  • Ability to travel occasionally

  • Ability to work outside of normal working schedule

TrinityRail Maintenance Services is hiring a Senior Equipment Technician in Shell Rock, Iowa! This person will support the daily maintenance functions and will troubleshoot and repair machines and equipment, automation controls, parts and material requisitioning, estimating jobs, and any other duties as assigned by the maintenance management team. What You'll Do: * Perform complex repairs on facility systems and equipment including but not limited to plumbing, electrical systems/components, HVAC, carpentry, lighting, etc * Perform complex repairs on production equipment including all mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical systems * Perform preventative/predictive maintenance and reliability repairs to electrical, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic production and mechanical equipment, machinery and components * Install of electrical systems, apparatus, and electrical and electronic components of industrial machinery and equipment, following electrical code, manuals, schematic diagrams, blueprints, and other specifications using electrical and electronic test equipment * Test/install new equipment and debug to make adjustments to equipment for optimal operation * Perform work based on dispatched service and daily/weekly work schedules * Review work as required to document specific needs (materials, supplies, instructions, etc) * Perform all work in accordance with established safety procedures * Mentor and train less skilled technicians * Work with or oversees subcontractor activities as directed by supervisor or work schedule * Read schematics/drawings - pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical What You'll Need: * High School graduate or equivalent required * 3 years of experience as a repair technician in an industrial setting preferably large steel manufacturing or related field required * Advanced mechanical skills required * Experience troubleshooting, diagnosing, and rebuilding various types of power transfer devices, pumps and gearboxes on production equipment * Experience troubleshooting low voltage controls * Experience troubleshooting and repairing pneumatic and hydraulic systems * Strong interpersonal and communication skills required * Must learn and promote the structured safety culture within TrinityRail Trinity Industries Inc Shell Rock IA
