Job Description:

Under Working Supervision this position reports to a senior level specialist, maintenance manager, or operations management position. This position assists on project or contract as a maintenance reliability technician, planner, or scheduler. This role may act as a project team leader when assigned.

  • Provide technical supervision and monitor the maintenance operation by planning and implementing specialized maintenance procedures and methods

  • Develop and monitor scheduling activities by implementing and planning preventative, corrective, scheduled outage maintenance work orders and plans and schedules small capital work

  • Perform work by selecting and operating equipment for required testing, measuring or maintenance activities and determining appropriate calibration equipment, methods, and procedures

  • Maintain workflow by requisitioning and expediting materials, equipment and services at optimum levels

  • Maintain equipment history record by developing/maintaining filing system

  • Maintain safe and healthy work environment by following established project procedures relating to safety, work permitting and work order systems; adhering to legal requirements

  • Other duties as assigned

Preferred Qualifications

  • Minimum three years mechanical maintenance planning experience

  • SAP experience

  • Local hires preferred

VIEW JOBS 9/14/2018 12:00:00 AM 2018-12-13T00:00 Job Description: We are currently looking for a dynamic individual to work as a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer located in Port Neches, TX. This position is responsible for the overall mechanical maintenance of a particular area of the plant including both fixed and rotating equipment. What will be expected from you? * Responsible for Process Safety Management (PSM) compliance as it relates to mechanical integrity, engineering design, relief devices, process safety information, maintenance related procedures and all applicable document retention requirements. * Makes periodic inspections of all equipment within assigned units and assists in the maintenance, modification, or improvement of said equipment including proper documentation and regulatory change management. * Responsible for proper maintenance and engineering repair recommendations for all plant stationary and rotating equipment within the areas assigned. * Works with operations to maintain/operate equipment in excellent working condition. * Leads root cause activities for stationary and rotating equipment failures. * Responsible for engineering and procurement specifications for equipment within the units assigned. * Project manager for equipment repairs and new equipment procurement and installations. * Manages the engineering support and supervision as required for unit inspections and maintenance turnarounds. * Provides the production and process engineering departments with technical assistance and written instructions concerning the maintenance and proper operation of mechanical equipment within the areas assigned. * Keeps current with technical developments in his/her respective field through outside study, trade journals, technical societies, and seminars. * Essential functions require presence in the workplace on a regular basis and an ability to work extra hours if needed. If applicable, ability to work overtime may be needed to ensure required staffing capacity to meet daily production objectives. * Work collaboratively with team members with different backgrounds and perspectives. * Assists other employees in accomplishments of Huntsman company goals. Follows instructions and performs other duties as may be assigned by supervisor. * Participates in Environmental, Health, & Safety initiatives as set forth by the company. Participates in and completes company-required training programs. What are we looking for in the ideal Candidate? * Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering and a minimum of 3 years' experience in equipment maintenance and/or reliability in a petrochemical or refining facility required * 5+ years of equipment maintenance and/or reliability experience in a petrochemical or refining facility is preferred * Experience in analysis and creation of preventative maintenance procedures and/or practices to ensure validity, efficiency and maximum unit uptime and asset availability is strongly preferred * Experience with predictive maintenance programs using Condition Monitoring to include: Thermal Scanning, Temperature Trending and Analysis, Vibration Analysis, etc. * Prior experience leading Risk Based Maintenance assessments on critical equipment is a plus * Experience with reliability-focused statistical analysis preferred * Must have a level of proficiency with Internet, Email, and Microsoft programs * Knowledge of risk-based work prioritization methodology * Knowledge of economic evaluation methods (Life-Cycle Cost Analysis, NPV, Benefit/Cost) * Knowledge in Reliability Centered Maintenance or some form of Asset Management Plan Development preferred What can we offer you?
