Position Overview
The primary responsibility of the Maintenance Planner is to ensure all aircraft are maintained in accordance with manufacturers and regulatory guidelines to cycle and hour limitations.
All duties are to be performed in accordance with departmental and Sands Aviation, LLC policies, practices, and procedures. All Sands Aviation, LLC Team Members are expected to conduct and carry themselves in a professional manner at all times. Team Members are required to observe the Company's standards, work requirements and rules of conduct.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Maintain and update maintenance records and computerized tracking systems.
Provide 30 day and annual maintenance forecasts.
Produce work packages for routine and non-routine inspections, modifications, and repairs.
Update and revise maintenance publications.
Track and calls out all AD's, SB's, HT, and LLP components in a timely manner.
Tracks all out of phase maintenance tasks.
Ensure that Airworthiness Directives and Service Bulletins that affect flight department aircraft are complied with appropriately.
Provide guidance and direction for those assigned to the maintenance section.
Maintain the company aircraft in accordance with the manufacturer's continuing airworthiness instructions and the FARs.
Maintain necessary files and records pertaining to the operation of the maintenance department.
Focus on achieving the goals or objectives of the department using available resources (staff and budgetary).
Evaluate the schedule or timelines related to the completion of assignments, while maintaining service and/or product quality.
Develop staff skills to enhance department effectiveness and manage resources to eliminate excess cost or unnecessary expenditures.
Safety is an essential function of this job.
Consistent and regular attendance is an essential function of this job.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
At least 21 years of age.
Proof of authorization to work in the United States
High school Diploma or equivalent
Must be in possession of a valid A&P Mechanic license.
Maintain current passport and be willing to travel internationally
Able to obtain a security badge at Harry Reid International Airport.
Minimum 5 years of maintenance experience.
Proven experience in Aviation Maintenance Management.
Demonstrates knowledge of the planning, implement and direction of the maintenance programs and control system for the aircraft operated.
Demonstrates knowledge of the national regulations and standards relating to aircraft maintenance.
Maintain a professional, neat and well-groomed appearance adhering to Company appearance standards.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with guests and other Team Members of different backgrounds and levels of experience.
Maintain composure under pressure and consistently meet deadlines with internal and external customers and contacts.
Must be able to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends and holidays.
Physical Requirements
Must be able to:
Lift or carry 30 pounds, unassisted, in the performance of specific tasks.
Physically access assigned workspace areas with or without reasonable accommodation.
Ability for prolonged periods of time to walk, stand, stretch, bend and kneel.
Work in a fast-paced and busy environment.
Work indoors and outdoors and be exposed to various environmental factors such as, but not limited to, CRT, noise, dust, and inclement weather.
Must be able to touch and handle supplies in a safe and non-hazardous manner, maintaining proper hygiene, cleanliness, and disposal methods.
