Georgia-Pacific in Mt. Holly, NC is seeking a Maintenance Utility Planner to create and implement safe sustainable asset strategies related to fire protection and waste-water treatment systems. These objectives are achieved by working with a team of plant personnel and vendors to develop strategies that meet all compliance requirements. Additional planning responsibilities will include boiler, compressed air systems, and cooling systems. This position reports to the Maintenance Manager and collaborates with Maintenance and Operations technicians as needed. The successful candidate will have the ability to effectively teach, coach and mentor others. The ability to communicate effectively, multi-task and strong attention to detail are a must within this role.
A Day In The Life Typically Includes:
Prioritizing work order backlog and inputs from system gatekeepers to develop job plans or make use of existing job plans involving analysis of tasks based on expected target finish dates
Contributing to the development of Standard Maintenance Procedures (SMP) and Machine Precision Checklist
Develop a library of planned job packages for recurring jobs to include Preventive and Corrective Maintenance and materials for all equipment
Drive safety excellence through identification of hazards and implement the appropriate mitigating strategies based on the risk involved in the job plans
Seek feedback on job plans and work to continuously improve existing products, safety, maintenance productivity, and machine reliability
Proactively coordinate repairs on equipment and identify task that could be completed simultaneously
Data entry and management of essential records and files used for reporting
What You Will Need:
High School Diploma or equivalent
Two (2) or more years of mechanical and electrical experience in a manufacturing/industrial or military environment
One (1) year or more of experience planning and scheduling maintenance activities
Experience utilizing a Computer Maintenance Management System (CMMS) such as SAP, Asset Suite or MP2
Experience with project planning applications such as MS Project or Primavera
Working knowledge and experience with MS Office/Microsoft (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
Must be able and willing to work in a manufacturing plant environment, including extended periods of time in dusty, noisy, non-air conditioned or unheated areas
Ability to work nights, weekends, overtime and holidays as required
Maintain strict adherence to safety rules and regulations, including wearing safety equipment
What Will Put You Ahead?
Technicians diploma or higher
Experience in fire protection systems
Experience in waste-water treatment systems
Three (3) years or more of experience Maintenance Planning in a manufacturing or industrial environment
