JOB SUMMARY

Responsible for the planning functions related to preventative maintenance, assigning work orders, checking inventory, staging parts and indirectly leading maintenance technicians through this process.

JOB DUTIES

Duties may include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Scheduling Preventative Maintenance (PM's)

  • Developing a daily & weekend plan for technicians to complete work orders

  • Verify inventory of parts needed for kitting process

  • Tracking and monitoring the process of PM's and work orders

  • Tracking of downtime due to mechanical breakdowns

  • Closing work orders as completed

  • Track the time that it takes to complete PM's and work orders

  • Update PM master list as needed to reflect correct time and parts to keep current

  • Coordinate parts ordering with the MRO Procurement Analyst

  • Other duties as assigned

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE & COMPETENCIES

Knowledge of:

  • Purchasing

  • Maintenance Functions

  • Machine Parts and Mechanical Systems

  • Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)

  • Food Manufacturing, preferred

Skilled in:

  • Excellent attention to detail, organization and communication skills.

  • Exposure to Lean concepts, 5S, kaizen and centerlining of equipment.

  • Exposure to high speed packaging lines. Experience in the food industry will be given the highest priority.

Proficiency in:

  • MS Office Suite
  • SAP
  • CMMS systems, Tabware preferred

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • High school diploma in conjunction with 3-5 years relevant experience.

  • College degree preferred, with 2-3 years' experience.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Sitting at a workstation for short periods of time.

  • Frequent line calls throughout the building requiring immediate response.

  • Stand, walk, climb stairs and ladders on a frequent basis.

  • Must be able to lift 20 pounds on an infrequent basis.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • Work is primarily done in an office with some time on the manufacturing production floor.

  • Frequent production environment exposure which includes noise, dust, moving machinery, forklifts, and fluctuations in temperature.
