Ziegler CAT has an opening for a Building Maintenance person. A Maintenance Person does various jobs and duties around the company to keep the buildings and facilities in proper working order. Tasks may include preventative maintenance and repairs to plumbing, air filtration systems, interior and exterior lighting, mowing and any other miscellaneous duties.
Files reports for any significant required repair or replacement work
Maintains a full stock and inventory of necessary tools and equipment, informing a supervisor when something is missing
Assists other departments with general requests
Works in a cooperative manner with team and superiors
Communicates with manager and documents changes to equipment
Answers phones and takes messages
Inspects and monitors assigned facilities, equipment, or additional machinery, repairing and replacing items as needed
Monitors plumbing, heating, air conditioning, and lighting systems within facilities
Performs preventative tours of facilities, aimed at fixing problems before they come to a head
Administers miscellaneous daily maintenance of their assigned facility
Performs exterior lawn care, including mowing, weed removal, and lawn sprinkler repairs
Assists in snow removal during winter months
Performs any additionally requested repairs as they surface
High school degree required, Associate's degree preferred High School Diploma or GED required
3+ years maintenance experience
Safety knowledge of maintenance jobs
Highly motivated and hard worker
Clean driving record is required
Boilers license preferred
Minimum Physical Requirements:
Push/pull up to 60 lbs
Lift up to 75 lbs from floor
Lift up to 45 lbs from waist
Carry up to 55 lbs
Lift bulky objects
Standing, walking, using hands, talking, hearing, neck rotation, trunk rotation, stair climbing, ladder climbing, repetitive bending, kneeling, sustained squat, forward reaching, overhead reaching, fingering/grasping
Able to drive long distances (within Ziegler territory primarily).
Working Conditions may be indoor and/or outdoor. Noise level may be moderate at times.
