Maintenance Person

Job Summary: The Maintenance Person at The Foundry Hotel Asheville, Curio Collection is a highly skilled individual responsible for ensuring the upkeep and maintenance of the hotel’s facilities, including the restaurant and public areas. This is a full-time, hourly position with a focus on maintaining the highest standards of quality and cleanliness. The ideal candidate will be a team player, have a strong attention to detail, and possess excellent problem-solving abilities. Compensation & Benefits: The Maintenance Person will be compensated at a rate of $21 to $22 per hour, paid biweekly. In addition, we offer a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, a retirement plan, and paid time off. Responsibilities:

• Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as replacing light bulbs, fixing leaky faucets, and changing air filters

• Conduct regular inspections of the hotel’s facilities to identify and address any maintenance issues

• Respond to guest requests for maintenance assistance in a timely and efficient manner

• Ensure that all HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems are functioning properly

• Keep accurate records of all maintenance and repair work, including daily logs and repair reports

• Maintain and repair all kitchen equipment to ensure the smooth operation of the restaurant

• Assist with setting up and breaking down of equipment for events and functions

• Monitor and address any safety and security concerns, including fire safety and emergency procedures

• Keep all public areas, including restrooms, lobby, and restaurant, well-maintained and free of any hazards

• Coordinate with outside vendors and contractors for larger maintenance projects

• Maintain an organized inventory of supplies and equipment and request replacements as needed Requirements: - High school diploma or equivalent required; technical or vocational training in maintenance or a related field preferred

• Minimum of 2 years experience in a similar maintenance role, preferably in a hotel or restaurant setting

• Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems

• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities

• Proven ability to work independently and with a team

• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods of time

• Availability to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends

• Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening
