Position Overview:
Supports manufacturing by making machine repairs and performing preventative maintenance. Performs equipment projects including improvements, fabrication, programming, fixturing, etc to develop new processes and improve current processes. Assists with facility projects including repairs to the buildings, infrastructure and moving equipment.
Essential Job Functions:
Performs timely repairs to re-establish production. If a root cause repair cannot be made on the spot, returns to ensure it is properly repaired at the end of production.
Performs projects in the shop including equipment overhaul, fabrication, repair and/or improvements. This may involve welding, metalworking, electronics programming or air logic.
Completes preventative maintenance work orders that are assigned by the department clerk.
Stays current with programming and electronics troubleshooting skills to support new automation at the factory.
Assists with programming of plant robots and programmable logic controllers.
Supports other ODL manufacturing sites as needed to commission new equipment, perform repairs and/or improve processes.
Self-directed individual that can keep productive throughout the day with limited direction from supervisor.
Candidate Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED.
5 years experience in maintenance field.
Basic computer skills such as MS Word, Excel, and ability to sort and present data in graphic form.
Solid written and verbal communication skills.
Excellent time management and planning skills.
Good mechanical knowledge to be able to effectively interface with technical team and maintenance technicians.
Must have own tools.
Experience/training required/helpful in these areas:
Extensive Industrial electrical knowledge and troubleshooting skills (AC/DC circuits)
Must be capable of reading equipment electrical diagrams, interpreting and troubleshooting circuits, AC voltage circuits from 11OVAC single phase to 575VAC, 3 phase electrical.
Current electrician license is a plus.
Must be able to identify and replace bad electrical components, such as fuses, relays, contacts, motor overloads, heaters, broken wires, thermostats, RTD's, terminals, SCR's, diodes, potentiometers, switches,
Must be able to change lighting bulbs, sockets, ballasts, fixtures.
Pneumatic and hydraulic knowledge and troubleshooting.
Must be able to troubleshoot and replace air or hydraulic valves, flow controls, circuits, pumps, pressure controls, pressure relief valves, cylinders, actuators.
PLC troubleshooting, including ladder logic programming knowledge
Must be able to identify and replace bad components, processors, input or output cards, analog output cards (4-20ma, 1-5vdc, etc)
Robot programming or troubleshooting knowledge helpful.
Motoman/Fanuc experience is helpful (MRC, XRC, K30, SK45, UP20,RJII, 710i, 420)
Must know how to use computer, Is required to close out work orders,
Maintenance software (CMMS) knowledge/experience is helpful.

Toilets, sinks, urinals, sloan type valves.
Equipment and component knowledge that would be helpful
Hotmelt Adhesive Drum Unloaders (55 Gallon)
Foammelt systems (NordsolfFM151, FM153, FM200)
Heated hose and hanguns.
Temperature controllers
Infrared ovens and SCR controllers .
Preventative maintenance experience helpful.
Mechanical drive systems
Must be able to identify and replace power transmission parts such as sprockets, bearings, shafts, pulleys, belts, idlers, gears, gear reducers.
