Maintenance Millwright / Graveyard (1) APEL Extrusions is an independent extruder, finisher and fabricator of aluminum extrusions serving the commercial, residential, and industrial markets of Western Canada and the Western United States. With its Headquarters in Calgary, Canada and facilities in Coburg, Oregon, and Phoenix, Arizona.

The Position APEL is seeking full time Maintenance Millwrights at our Phoenix, AZ facility.

Applicant must have strong fabrication and welding skills, as well as experience in troubleshooting of hydraulic, mechanical, pneumatic and some electrical components of manufacturing equipment and systems. Job description Troubleshooting and repairing of machinery quickly and effectively to maximize production time. Working on various projects involving fabrication, rebuilding parts, and inspecting machinery.

Perform preventative maintenance and repairs. Maintaining a clean and safe work environment. Help other maintenance and operational personnel as needed.

Work independently and as a team. Safety Sensitive position. Other duties as required.

Knowledge, Skill, and Experience Requirements: Experience with and understanding of hydraulic/pneumatic valves, pumps, cylinders and schematics. Experience with general industrial equipment such as chains, bushings, bearings, gearboxes and drive belts.

Experience with fabrication and reading blueprints. Lock out/tag out. Operating a forklift and man lift.

Working safely in elevated heights and in confined space. Working safely around chemicals and the proper use of PPE. Plumbing of air, oil, grease and water lines.

Hydraulic troubleshooting. Perform and report on Preventative Maintenance. CMMS familiarity preferred.

Pneumatic troubleshooting. Fabrication and Welding of manufacturing parts. Reports to:

Maintenance and Engineering Manager Environmental Factors and Working Conditions: Clean and safe working environment. Nearly all machinery is indoors.

The manufacturing plant is warm in the winter and hot in the summer. OT is to be expected based on production requirements. Education and Work experience High School Diploma or Equivalent 1 years of fabrication experience Apel Extrusions is an equal opportunity employer.
