Blytheville, AR, United States Other Available Locations: N/A Basic Job Functions: The Maintenance Mechanical Tech will be responsible for, but not limited to supporting the NYS maintenance and production teams by troubleshooting, making repairs, and performing preventative maintenance over a given area of our mill.

This includes interpretation of drawings and manuals for the repair and maintenance of complex equipment systems and machinery such as various bearing re-builds, valves, cylinders, conveyors, etc. The Maintenance Tech will use various pieces of equipment, such as forklifts, man lifts, etc. to safely operate during routine mechanical operations and/or expectations. The Maintenance Tech will also be expected to demonstrate safety-minded support of our entire maintenance team while seeking to provide world-class reliability for our customers.

This position will be expected to work weekends, overtime, holidays, and cover shift as needed. Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times. Minimum Requirements:

Basic Maintenance mechanical/electrical knowledge Minimum of 3 years steel mill experience OR 4 years industrial mechanical maintenance experience Detailed Selection Criteria: Teamwork Working as part of a coordinated effort with others to achieve a common goal.
