Key Responsibilities:

Tropicana Brands Group is seeking a highly motivated Maintenance Technician with a minimum of 3 years' experience in an industrial work environment to join our team at the Tropicana Brands Group Chilled Warehouse located in Whitestone, New York. The ideal candidate should possess a broad range of skills including low voltage electrical, facilities maintenance, welding, and preventive maintenance of material handling equipment. Experience in maintaining commercial refrigeration systems a plus. Experience with a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) preferred.

Additional responsibilities include:

• Preventive maintenance and repair of all material handling equipment including forklifts, pallet jacks, conveyor systems, hydraulic dock levelers, and vehicle restraints

• Welding repairs and metal fabrication tasks as needed

• General facilities maintenance including painting, drywall repairs, and minor plumbing work

• Maintain and repair warehouse refrigeration system including compressors, evaporators, and condensers

• Work with outside contractors to manage larger repair and maintenance projects as needed

• Keep detailed records of all maintenance work performed and track inventory of spare parts and equipment

• Follow all safety protocols and guidelines when performing maintenance tasks

• Communicate regularly with warehouse management to update them on status of maintenance work and report any issues that may impact warehouse operations

Professional Experience / Qualifications:

• 2 High School Diploma or equivalent; Associate Degree or Certification from a Technical School a plus

• At least 3 years' experience in a maintenance role, preferably in a chilled warehouse environment

• Experience in low voltage electrical, facilities maintenance, and material handling equipment repair & maintenance

• General knowledge of commercial refrigeration systems

• Welding and metal fabrication

• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics

• Strong communication and problem-solving skills

• Willingness to work flexible hours and on-call as needed

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Hourly Rate or Annual Target Pay

Pay for this position is $33.21 Per Hour
