Job Overview
Responsible for keep machines, mechanical equipment, or the structure of an establishment in repair. Duties may involve pipe fitting; insulating; welding; machining; carpentry; repairing electrical or mechanical equipment; installing, aligning, and balancing new equipment; and repairing buildings, floors, or stair
Responsibilities
Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment. Diagnosis problems based on operator feedback and test results.
Perform preventive maintenance utilizing checklists to visually inspect components, replace worn parts as needed and verify efficient operation of equipment.
Utilize common power hand tools and machine shop equipment, along with precision measuring equipment, to analyze and repair damaged components
Study blueprints and manufacturers' manuals to insure correct installation and operation of equipment
Assemble, install or repair wiring, electrical and electronic components, pipe systems and plumbing, machinery and equipment as required
Perform all duties to the prescribed standard.
Documentation substantiating 3 years of practical experience in Mechanical/Machine repair plus High school diploma (or equivalent); or 3 or less years of practical experience in Mechanical/Machine repair plus Maintenance Training Program Certificate (or equivalent).
An attached resume is required.
Journeayman card a plus.
Knowledge of circuit boards, processors, chips, electronic equipment, and computer hardware and software, including applications and programming.
Ability to interpret technical drawings and background in welding, electrical, and plumbing a plus.
May have to work at elevated heights or enter permit-required confined spaces.
Successful applicants will be required to take a skilled trade test prior to start of employment.
Basic computer skills are preferred.
Must work successfully in a team environment.
