Maintenance Mechanic

Do you enjoy fixing and repairing small and large items? Do you take pride in your work after you fixed or repaired an object or machinery?

Then, I have the right job for you!

Responsibilities:

  • Repairing,installing, replacing, lubricating and cleaning machine parts ( machines such as lathe, drill press, mill, band saw, grinder)

  • Repairing electrical equipment/control wiring.

  • Starting machines to test their performance.

  • Ability to travel to vendor locations ( if needed)

  • Installing special functional parts in machines.

Working hours: 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM

Skills:

  • Solid mathematics knowledge.

  • Hydraulics and PLC knowledge.

  • 1 year plus of Forklift Experience.

  • Computer Skills (MS word and email)

  • Read blueprints/schematics.

Qualifications:

-Submit to background and drug screen.

T&D is the steward of roughly $19 billion in assets that safely and reliably deliver electricity to 14 million residents via SCE's 5 million customer accounts Position Overview This position will be in the Substation Construction & Maintenance (SC&M) division within Southern California Edison's (SCE) Transmission and Distribution Organizational Unit (T & D). The successful candidate will be responsible for meeting substation technical business requirements to maintain Substation Equipment Master Data and to perform data analytics utilizing various ERP (e.g., SAP) systems. Typical Responsibilities: * Develop coding (macro or scripting) to automate mass updates to ERP systems (e.g., SAP) data structures, including Microsoft Excel, Word, and Access custom macros to support management analytical processes. * Update automated master data collection forms for substation equipment. * Perform maintenance on custom database applications supporting unique substation compliance business requirements and develop and update complex reports supporting condition based maintenance programs. * This candidate will also be a subject matter expert on substation major equipment data maintenance. * Provide support for master data creation, updates, and deletions for substation circuit breaker equipment/maintenance plans, in support of ISO compliance requirements. * Provides equipment updates and analysis and reporting to support regulatory and compliance mandates associated with SC&M substation equipment inspections and maintenance functions. Support SC&M's strategic and regulatory initiatives. * Assists in the development and maintenance of reporting, databases, and the refinement of all data management tools. * Provides master data input to SC&M business planning. * Maintains a safety conscious work environment by following Edison safety protocols and safe work practices. * Performs other responsibilities and duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications * Two or more years of experience in the field of data analysis, creating, querying and/or maintaining databases. * Two or more years of experience creating databases to create and edit reports, graphs and presentations. * Two or more years of experience with Programming and Scripting languages. * Three or more years of experience with Microsoft Excel performing advanced functions such as VLOOKUP's, pivot tables, filtering/sorting, charts and graphing. Desired Qualifications * Bachelor's Degree in a STEM discipline (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) or in Business, Finance, Statistics or Economics or a related discipline. * Three or more years of experience in the field of analysis. * Experience generating complex reports. * Experience working with SAP. * Experience with SAS. * Experience working with voluminous data, complex processes and systems. * Experience analyzing technical business requirements. * Experience ensuring reports and projects are completed accurately and on schedule. * Excellent verbal and written communication skills to present ideas both electronically and in person, explain complex concepts successfully, and motivate stakeholders effectively. * Ability to integrate work across relevant areas, manage information, and provide exceptional service to internal and external customers. * Ability to take initiative and accountability for results. * Strong interpersonal skills, communication, and the ability to effectively manage stress and engage in continuous learning. * Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, and Visio.
