Pay: $20.00+

Shift:1:00 pm to 9:30pm

Job Type: Long Term/Temp-to-hire

We are looking for a maintenance mechanic to install machines and ensure they are operating properly. Your primary responsibilities will be to perform preventive maintenance on various devices and fix technical issues. Excellent problem-solving skills and deep understanding of mechanics, hydraulics, and pneumatics are crucial to this role. This role also requires physical stamina and strength, as youll have to stand for long hours and occasionally carry heavy loads.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct preventive maintenance to mechanical devices
  • Detect malfunctions through observation (sound or visual)
  • Run diagnostic tests to ensure system functionality
  • Repair broken or faulty machine parts
  • Align and calibrate machine parts

Requirements

  • Strong Mechanical Aptitude and willingness to learn
  • Electrical experience is a plus
  • Previous experience as a maintenance mechanic or similar role
  • Great understanding of conveyors,pneumatics, hydraulics, and mechanics
  • Familiarity using various power and hand tools, such as hosts and grinders
  • Ability to stand for long hours and lift heavy loads
  • Problem-solving and organizational skills
  • Auto/aviation mechanic experience

VIEW JOBS 10/19/2020 12:00:00 AM 2021-01-17T00:00 <p>Maintenance Mechanic 2nd shift, will train on 1st shift for a couple of weeks</p><p>Pay rate: $20 to $24 per hour Based on experience</p><p>The Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for performing duties to support and maintain production lines through the repair, maintenance and troubleshooting of machinery, equipment, building and facilities, requiring a broad knowledge of maintenance skills including mechanical repair, plumbing, welding, fabrication and electrical repair.</p><p><strong>Responsible for all or part of these areas</strong>: Preventative maintenance on all machines and equipment Unscheduled maintenance on machines and equipment</p><p><strong>Equipment Maintenance</strong> , Ensures operation of machinery, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems equipment and components; following blueprints and schematics, operations manuals, manufacturer's instructions, and engineering specifications. Troubleshoots sources of maintenance problems. Examines parts and removes defective parts by dismantling devices using hand and power tools, hoists, and cranes. Inspects used parts using measuring instruments. Adjusts functional parts of devices and control instruments by using hand tools, levels, plumb bobs, and straightedges. Inspects motors and belts, checks fluid levels, replaces filters, and performs other maintenance actions while following maintenance procedures. </p><p>Uses common tools including but not limited to: hand and power tools, such as hammers, hoists, saws, drills, and wrenches, precision measuring instruments, and electrical and electronic testing devices.</p><p><strong>Safety</strong>: Performs daily and weekly location and systems safety checks; and repair and report unsafe conditions immediately. Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations. </p><p><strong>Administration</strong>: Maintenance Records Utilizes preventive maintenance records on all equipment and systems. Records equipment failure, problems, parts used and steps taken to make repairs. Performs required testing. </p><p><strong>Corporate Initiatives </strong>: Assists with developing location specific items to support the implementation of corporate initiatives. </p><p><strong>Inventory Control</strong>: Assists with conserving maintenance resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results. Monitors equipment, parts, and supplies. </p><p><strong>General Duties </strong>:Anticipates maintenance issues and uses corrective measures to reduce or eliminate downtime. Communicate with Management if there are any issues that may result in downtime for the operation. Responds to emergency alarms. Provides maintenance information to appropriate partners.
