Job Description

As a Maintenance Mechanic you will gain a basic working knowledge of all equipment necessary for Wet Plant Operation. This includes (but not limited to) lubrication, preventive maintenance (PM's), repairs, and modifications. In this role you will perform basic mechanical maintenance as directed, safely and efficiently.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Have the ability to perform basic mechanical work related to the installation or repair of equipment in use in the Wet Plant operation. Perform lubrication, preventive maintenance, and repairs as specified by an approved work order or directed by the Maintenance Supervisor or Production Supervisor.

  • Use prescribed protective safety equipment and perform all work in a safe manner following all established policies and procedures.

  • Be able to read, follow, and interpret basic types of piping schematics as well as blueprints, illustrated part's breakdown, etc., essential to this plant.

  • Utilize PdM (Predictive Maintenance) tools such as handheld vibration analyzer, sonic tester, laser aligner, and a thermal imager to detect and diagnose equipment issues.

  • Be able to replace bearing, seals, shafts, drive components (e.g., sheaves, sprockets, chain, belts, etc.) throughout the Wet Plant.

  • Communicate and work closely with the hourly personnel in each department of the Wet Plant and utilize their assistance wherever possible in completing repairs as soon as possible.

Basic Qualifications:

Experience: 1+ years of industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing, warehouse, military, or related environment required.

Shift: This position is for night shift. Will likely begin as an 8 hour shift (5 days) and transition into a 2/2/3 12 hour shift. Shift differential is $1.50 for 12 hours and $1.00 for 8 hours when working nights. Job Summary: The Maintenance Mechanic responsible for preventative maintenance and repair on equipment used in the production process for bottling water, storage of water, handling of water, and testing of water. The position is responsible for a highly diversified range of duties (troubleshoot, adjustments, dismantle, installs, repair, and maintain production and facility equipment). Experience with PLC, servos, conveyors, packaging equipment, blow mold, injection mold label applications, coding equipment and bottling is a plus. The Maintenance Mechanic should be a self-starter and capable of managing time and projects with minimal supervision. All work should be completed in accordance with company policy, OSHA guidelines and state laws as applicable. We are in search of a well-rounded individual experienced in manufacturing maintenance procedures and processes. Job Responsibilities * Make routine checks on all positions for problems and takes necessary action to correct discovered issues. Diagnose problems, replace and repair parts, and make adjustments. * Inspects and ensures that all machinery and materials are in good working order and meet production specifications. Initiate purchase orders for parts & machines. * Programs all production equipment using PLCs. * Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and performs scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service. * Follows standard operating procedures for all operations. * Responsible for sanitation and safety of work area and maintenance of equipment in compliance with current Good Manufacturing Practices and Global Food Safety Initiative Standards * Participates in continuous improvement efforts to raise manufacturing performance in order to meet and exceed critical Plant Safety, Quality, Service, and Cost KPI's.
