Achieve optimum production times by performing routine preventative maintenance tasks and repairing any or all inoperable machines with a strong knowledge of electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems. Perform maintenance & repairs to facilities. Support production with component fabrication as needed.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Essential Functions Statement(s)

• Have a basic knowledge of electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems and theory of operation.

• Have basic knowledge of PLC's with the ability to troubleshoot and repair complex equipment..

• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics as well as hydraulic and pneumatic diagrams.

• Strong knowledge of rigging and setting production equipment.

• Ability to troubleshoot equipment without supervision.

• Ability to demonstrate basic tasks to less skilled individuals.

• Operate various hand tools in the repair of machinery & building

• Troubleshoot machine problems and have a basic repair skill set for each system being worked on

• Be aware and use all applicable lock out/tag out procedures for each component being worked on.

• Perform preventative maintenance duties as outlined in company and machine specification.

• Operate various machine tools to manufacture new parts

• Load and unload items from machines, tables, & turntables

• Weld and fabricate production components as needed to support manufacturing

• Assist helpers performing duties of lesser skill by delegating job tasks, and cleaning work areas and equipment.

• Clean and lubricate equipment.

• Start machines or equipment in order to begin production processes.

• Place products in equipment or on work surfaces for further processing, inspecting, or wrapping.

• Remove products, machine attachments, and waste material from machines.

• Pack and store materials and products.

• Transfer finished products, raw materials, tools, or equipment between storage and work areas of plants and warehouses, by hand or using hand trucks or powered lift trucks.

• Signal coworkers to direct them to move products during the repair process.

• Measure amounts of products, lengths of articles, to ensure conformance to specifications.

• Read gauges and charts, and record data obtained in the repair process

• Clean work areas, machines, equipment, vehicles, and products.

• Change machine knives, using wrenches and applicable tools.

• Wear many hats and may be asked to assist with other areas in the shop/office/warehouse.

• Willingness and ability to work overtime when the business dictates the need.

• Attendance at work during the regularly scheduled shift is an essential duty. This includes, but is not limited to the ability to be present at work, arrive on time and be at the work station ready for work at the start of the shift.

• Perform other duties as assigned.

SKILLS & ABILITIES

Education: High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED)

Experience: Machine repair and fabrication experience of some type or has been trained on specific machine processes.

Computer Skills: Basic computer skills, as well as the ability to learn and understand company specific software.

Certificates/Licenses:

Other Requirements: Proficiency in English.
