Wilcox Farms is currently seeking exceptional candidates for a Junior Maintenance Mechanic at its Roy, WA, location. This position would involve assisting the maintenance department with preventative maintenance as well as light corrective maintenance on egg processing equipment- breaker machines, conveyor systems, pasteurizers, motors, gear boxes, etc.
Bi-lingual Spanish Speaking a Plus.
Essential Duties and Functions:
1.Maintains the plant by keeping up with preventative maintenance- greasing, oiling, etc.
2.Provides corrective maintenance-including overhauls and rebuilds- on the equipment: replacing wiring, valves, relays, replacing gears and working with gear boxes and motors, etc.
3.May assist with day to day operations of the egg processing plant- loading, packaging, and palletizing eggs, and cleaning the plant.
4.Performs other duties as assigned.
Requires the ability to operate a personal computer, telephone, calculator, facsimile, and photocopier.
Requires the ability to read, write, communicate, and interpret information accurately in English.
Requires the ability to concentrate and consistently produce accurate work.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand and walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and fine manipulate; bend or stoop; and talk or hear. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, and ability to adjust focus.

Requirements Mechanical maintenance experience (working with motors, gear boxes, conveyor or auger systems)
Strong verbal and written communication skills in English, and Spanish (desired).
Strong interpersonal, planning, organizational, and problem solving skills.
The ability to handle multiple priorities and effectively prioritize tasks and projects.
Solid PC skills including proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and proven Internet experience.
