Maintenance

  • Performance of ongoing preventive and response repair work orders on facility mechanical, electrical, plumbing and other installed systems, equipment, and other components.

  • Perform assigned facility inspections and due diligence efforts, reporting on as found conditions impacting satisfactory client occupancy and operations.

  • General interior maintenance hang pictures, install keyboard trays, repair office furniture systems and repair doors, drywall repair, paint, etc.

  • Assists / conducts the maintenance and repair of building and/or equipment as directed

  • Moves office furniture, equipment, and other materials as requested

  • Replace lighting, ballasts, and fixtures

  • HVAC clean coils, change filters and belts, and adjust building controls for area comfort.

  • Monitor air compressors, boilers, and chillers that support production equipment.

  • Weekend plant rounds

  • Other tasks as assigned

Safety

  • Complete Hazard Assessments as necessary

  • Comply with all safety procedures, maintaining good housekeeping and safety of work areas. Recognize danger and safety hazards and propose methods to eliminate them.

  • Maintain compliance to State, County, or City Ordinances, Codes, or Laws.

  • Must complete all required safety trainings as scheduled

  • Complies with all policies for the safe storage, usage and disposal of hazardous materials.

Administrative

  • Update work order status in real time

  • Utilize CMMS systems such as Corrigo for all work performed

  • Perform Lift Safety Inspection

  • Escalating problems or issues to Chief Engineer and Manager in a timely manner

  • Attend work and safety meetings as required

Other

  • All other duties and tasks assigned.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

MINIMUM REQUIRED

Education/training

  • High school diploma or equivalent

Years of relevant experience

  • Have a MINIMUM of 1- 3 years of applicable working experience in general building repair and maintenance, basic plumbing, and basic electrical.

  • Skills and knowledge

  • Strong Customer Service skills

  • General computer skills and smart phone working knowledge

PREFERRED

Education / Training

  • Certification or Degree

Physical work requirements and work conditions

  • Must be able to lift 80 lbs. and climb up to 30 ft ladders.

  • Position requires frequent climbing, bending, kneeling, and lifting

  • Candidate must possess and maintain a valid state driver's license

  • Must pass background and drug/alcohol screening process

VIEW JOBS 1/11/2020 12:00:00 AM 2020-04-10T00:00 Job Title: Mobile Equipment Service Technician Reports To: Product Performance & Warranty Manager Job Location: Store or Tractor Assembly Center FLSA Status: Hourly Exempt Classification: Non- Exempt JOB SUMMARY: The primary role of the Mobile Equipment Service Technician is to travel to customer or dealer locations, process work orders for customer repairs, as well as servicing/repairing their equipment. The range of equipment includes diesel-powered compact tractors from 24HP up to 78HP, as well as garden tractors, mowing equipment and other types of lawn and garden maintenance equipment. This position is also responsible for service parts ordering as well as filing warranty claims. This is a full time, hourly position that will require travel. Applicants must be able demonstrate the ability and knowledge required for this position, including having a minimum of three years of related professional experience. A valid driver's license and clean driving record are required. The candidate shall also possess good customer communication skills. JOB DUTIES AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: * Provide high-quality off-site repair services on all work orders * Ensure the safe use of equipment & tools * Responsible for completing all warranty paperwork in a timely manner * Daily accurate documentation of work performed * Daily travel to customer or dealer locations * Maintain a clean and organized service vehicle * Responsible for special order parts for all work orders * Responsible for completing service work in a safe and timely manner * Use of computer systems to identify parts and troubleshoot systems * Read and understand operating manuals, blueprints and drawings * Provide a safe environment by keeping work areas clean & organized * Possess strong communications skills as customer interaction will be frequent and will include equipment sales support, and customer education skills. * Prepare daily updates of work completed, problems identified, and future schedule * Loading and unloading of customer machines for repair and delivery * Perform preventative maintenance and basic servicing of customer machines * May be required to cross train and perform other duties * Ability to participate in the equipment sales process is highly desired * Ability to handle multiple priorities, organize workloads, and meet deadlines * Operate machinery and equipment such as gantry cranes, electric hoists, servicing and diagnostic equipment, service trucks, and multimeters * May be required to cross train and perform other duties MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: * Expert mechanical abilities in small engine, diesel, and hydraulic systems, including professional experience servicing sub-compact and compact utility tractors at a tractor dealership * Ability to work independently without supervision. * Valid driver's license * Proficiency with Microsoft Office software * Ability to access and use the in-store computer, scanning system, and wireless handheld unit * Ability to participate in our online applicant and new hire onboarding process remotely * Ability to complete computer-based training SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: * None PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS * Good visual acuity * Close vision for computer work * Repetitive wrist movements on keyboard * Ability to stand and/or walk for long periods of time * Ability to walk up and down stairs multiple times per day * Ability to verbally communicate effectively and professionally with all audiences (in-person or via handheld transceiver) * Ability to lift, push, and/or pull a minimum of 30 pounds repetitively * Ability to use a ladder and/or pallet jack * Operate service truck/travel long distances * Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential job functions.
