Maintenance Mechanic

Maintenance Mechanic

Shifts available

1st shift 6:00am

• 2:00pm including weekends as needed

2nd shift 2:00pm

• 10:00pm, including weekends as needed

Summary:

The primary function of a Maintenance Mechanic is to ensure that the plant, and the plant equipment, are in working order to house and produce a quality product in a safe and efficient manner.

Key Responsibilities:

1.Perform preventive maintenance on all machinery, equipment and freezer systems.

2.Complete scheduled inspections on machinery, freezer systems and equipment.

3.Repair machinery, equipment and freezer systems as needed.

4.Inspect, repair or replace worn conveyer systems as required.

5.Fabrication of parts and equipment as needed.

6.Maintenance on plant facility as needed.

7.Perform all work/task as needed in a safe manner following all State, Federal, Company and OSHA guidelines.

8.Advise Manager of current or potential equipment problems and building maintenance issues.

9.Work safely.

Position Requirements:

1.Preferred Training, Education or Job-related Experience:

Pneumatics

Diverse Mechanical Aptitude

Relays

PVC Plumbing

3 Phase Wiring & Controls

3 Phase Protection / Motor Safeties

Timers

Soft Starts & VFD's

Troubleshoot Motor Issues

Basic Automation/Conveyors A plus but not required- PLC's/HMI systems and industrial refrigeration systems.

2.Technical knowledge and skills: Math, Reading, Follow Wire Diagrams, Trace Circuits

3.Environmental Factors: Cold, noise, dampness, working with height restrictions and outside heat when necessary.

4.Physical Requirements: Must be able to carry up to 75 lbs, lift up to 100 lbs, stand for long periods of time, work in cold temperatures, work in heat, squat, kneel, bend, reach above shoulders, hands grasp, hands twist, push feet controls.
