Job Overview

At TE Connectivity, our Maintenance Teams handle repairs and preventive maintenance to extend the lifespan of our machines and facilities. Team members are responsible for keeping their work area clean and organized, and for following our safety policies.

Responsibilities

  • Maintenance Support: Ensure equipment works well and is always ready for manufacturing use.

  • Equipment Handling: Install, start up, and shut down equipment safely, following company and OSHA guidelines.

  • Repair Work: Fix production machinery as needed.

  • Inventory Management: Help manage spare parts, including researching, ordering, and keeping records.

  • Independent Work: Follow instructions, blueprints, or sketches to complete tasks without supervision, and document your work.

  • Preventative Maintenance: Review machinery maintenance needs and make recommendations.

  • Emergency Repairs: Lead and perform emergency repairs on all equipment.

  • Timely Completion: Finish assigned preventive maintenance inspections and projects on time.

  • Project Planning: Provide feedback and input for planning projects.

  • Teamwork: Work well with all levels of personnel, communicate effectively with line operators, and assist with repairs.

  • Professionalism: Be professional, energetic, dependable, take initiative, and manage time effectively.

This is a 1st shift role, Monday to Friday, with flexible hours.

What your background should look like:

  • Visualize Machinery: Ability to picture parts of machinery that need maintenance or repair.

  • Read Diagrams: Ability to read and understand electrical and pneumatic diagrams.

  • Interpret Visual Aids: Ability to understand blueprints, sketches, models, and other visual aids.

  • Teamwork: Ability to work well with others and collaborate in a team environment.

  • Independence: Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

  • Innovation and Creativity: Ability to be innovative, creative, and adaptable to change.

  • Positive Attitude: Maintain a cheerful, positive, can-do attitude, and be responsive and approachable.

  • Tool Knowledge: Knowledge and experience with measuring tools, hand tools, and power tools.

  • Software Skills: Knowledge and experience with MS Excel and MS Word.

  • Machining Experience: Preferred knowledge and experience with machining.

  • CAD/Solidworks: Preferred knowledge and experience with CAD/Solidworks.

  • Physical Requirements: Ability to bend, stoop, and stand for extended periods; manual dexterity to manipulate objects precisely.

  • Skill Application: Apply knowledge, skills, judgment, and initiative to complete a wide range of challenging tasks.

  • Education and Experience:

  • High School Diploma/GED and 4 years of related experience or local equivalent required.

  • AA Degree in a related discipline or local equivalent and 7 years of related experience preferred.

COMPENSATION

  • Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $60,720 - $91,080 (subject to change dependent on physical location)

  • Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.

  • Total Compensation = Base Salary + Incentive(s) + Benefits
