Under the direct supervision of the Plant Operations Director, the Maintenance Mechanic II performs preventative and corrective maintenance on assigned equipment, buildings and grounds.
Responsibilities include mechanical, plumbing, electrical systems, grounds and security. Works independently and functions in a leadership role being responsible for scheduling and prioritizing work of Maintenance Mechanic I.
To ensure the comfort and safety of patients, physicians, visitors and employees. This position requires the full understanding and active participation in fulfilling the mission of the facility. It is expected that the employee will demonstrate behavior consistent with the core values.
High School diploma or G. E. D. equivalent;
5 years general knowledge in HVAC, electrical and machinery required
Trade school courses are helpful, but not required.
Good knowledge of mechanical and electrical equipment.
Knowledge of blueprints.
