Day-to-Day Role:
Uses analytical troubleshooting skills to make repairs and corrections based on observation of equipment in operation and product defects
Dismantles defective machinery and equipment to gain access to problem area or to install new or repaired parts
Inspects and measures parts to detect wear, misalignment or other problems. Repairs or replaces defective parts
Realigns and adjusts machine components
Inspects used parts to determine if they meet acceptable standards for use in equipment.
Repairs and replaces gages, valves, pressure regulators and related equipment when necessary.
Lubricates and cleans parts including bearing, shafts and gears
Tests machines following repairs to ensure good product quality prior to returning machine to service
Performs preventive maintenance functions
Orders parts as required and uses computerized maintenance system to keep accurate maintenance records.
Informs appropriate management personnel of equipment and parts need.
Travels to plant locations for assistance.
Understands and performs Lock out / Tag out when servicing equipment
Follows all safety, GMP's and BRC guidelines and company plant rules
Assists in training lower level mechanics
Performs other duties as assigned
Core Skills and

Qualifications:
The ideal candidate must possess all of the following:
Three (3) years maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment working on high speed equipment.
Knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics, temperature and pressure gages.
Own a set of basic mechanic's hand tools to function
Ability to diagnose and analyze mechanical problems
Ability to enter information / data on maintenance software and or order parts
Ability to use precision measuring instruments such as calipers and micrometers
Ability to work COP night shift hours 7:00 P.M. - 7:00 A.M.
Ability to work overtime when necessary
Ability to work every other weekend
Good attendance is a condition of employment

You will join a strong team of local Field Service Technician / Maintenance Mechanics and be assigned a group of stations in the region. You'll be responsible for completing inspections, cleaning and maintaining equipment, and troubleshooting and repairing equipment related issues. This will include completing digital work orders, documenting all work performed and capturing critical data.
