REPORTS TO: Director of Maintenance
PURPOSE: Primarily responsible for ensuring that the company goals and objectives are met in a timely and accurate manner.
JOB SUMMARY: Maintain a good image of the company, achieve company safety and performance goals. Oversee all aspects of the maintenance department, cost, training and ordering of parts and supplies. Repairs machinery. Achieve personal performance and expense goals. Ensure safe and proper operation and appearance of the production equipment - including building, and grounds. Maintain the highest energy, conservation and safety standards as established.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
- Mechanically evaluate equipment of proper function and need for repair
- Perform and manage maintenance personnel on all of the preventative maintenance procedures on the production equipment and building
- Troubleshoot and repair equipment problems
- Hiring of all maintenance personnel
- Welding
- Repair items at floor to ceiling level
- Responsible for the installation, maintenance and repair of plant machinery and equipment
- Move equipment in need of repair to maintenance area
- Responsible for meeting all federal, state, and local inspection requirements
- Order all supplies, service, and equipment necessary to fulfill responsibilities with appropriate approval by the Director of Engineering
- Responsible for the maintenance programs within the plant. Perform preventive maintenance on machinery according to daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly maintenance schedules
- Maintain an inventory of replacement parts within budget guidelines. Report deficiencies to the Director of Engineering
- Secure and control all maintenance tools, equipment and parts
- Perform all other duties as assigned
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- Three years' experience in related field
- Good communication and coaching skills
- Troubleshooting skills
- Ability to work in temperatures exceeding 100 degrees.
- Muat be able to traverse property and facility to diagnose building issues and plan repairs or maintenance.
- Must be physically able to perform repairs when needed.
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
- Ability to sit, stand, walk, lift, carry, push, pull, reach overhead, reach at or below shoulder level, keyboarding, gross manipulation, fine manipulation, stooping, crouching, kneeling, crawling, climbing, speaking, near visual acuity, far visual acuity.
