Maintenance Mechanic - Entry

This is a full-time entry-level position that is responsible for: General Duties:

Preventative maintenance on mechanical equipment such as conveyors, belts, chain, and other duties as assigned.

Corrective and repair work on the previous mentioned equipment. Facility equipment upkeep ceiling tile repair, maintain waste water, starch recovery operation, filter changes, door repair, plumbing repair, resolved clogged drains and other duties as assigned.

Complete fire safety checks, inspections, boiler safety checks, electrical troubleshooting. Welding and fabrication. Basic HVAC troubleshooting.

Complete fire protection checks and maintenance. replace valves, thread pipe, AIB work, and other duties as assigned. Position currently slated as a C level position. Promotional opportunities to progress to a B mechanic require movement to a Processing/ Packaging Maintenance or GES Maintenance position.

Work will vary from day to day depending on need and your hours will vary by assigned location. It also gets loud and the Frito-Lay manufacturing facilities are large. While we want everyone to feel comfortable, our ability to control the temperature in our warehouses is limited.

Indoor warehouse working conditions are impacted by seasons and the weather.
