The maintenance mechanic will be in charge of maintenance and repair of everything belonging to the company that is on company grounds.
The maintenance mechanic is a key component of the operation of the facility and will need to be a reliable, safe professional.RESPONSIBILITIES:
Safely perform preventative maintenance on plant equipment in accordance with company and manufacturer specifications.
Repair chassis and trucks when there is damage or malfunction.
Maintain and repair company equipment.
Follow all safety procedures when operating or working on equipment.
Notify supervisor if equipment is not being operated safely and appropriately by operators.
Secures replacement parts as authorized by supervisor as needed.
Notify supervisor if having difficulty with maintenance or repair issues.REQUIREMENTS:
High School degree
Industrial maintenance experience
Semi-truck/trailer repair experience
Hydraulic, high voltage electrical, controls, and welding experience required
Candidates must pass hydraulic repair quiz to be considered
Candidate must be self motivated and reliable
Swing shift position. Normal hours are 4:00 pm to 1:30 am M-F. Overtime is available.Please send resumes to:

VIEW JOBS 12/4/2018 12:00:00 AM 2019-03-04T00:00 Crown CAPP Division USA – Aurora plant is seeking an experienced Maintenance Mechanic. This position will trouble-shoot, repair, replace, maintain and install equipment for production related equipment and building utilities within this high-speed metal packaging manufacturing facility. Essential Functions/Job Duties: * Assess previous day mechanical downtime that require attention * Audit Shear, Coater, Press lines for maintenance issues; stop and fixes needed * Work in conjunction with Supervisor and Management to perform Preventative Maintenance on any production line that production control dictates * Complete Mechanical Work Orders provided by E-Maintenance, Plant Work Orders; Review weekly with Group Leader * Individual Mechanics have previous projects assigned; complete and update progress on Work Order Calendar * Send out ISO Blades to be sharpened; Clean and install sharp blade as needed; * Audit compressed Air for plant, and audit oil flow for all the printing presses; * Maintains the stockroom and order parts as needed * Communicate with all levels of the operation in regards to electrical requirements * Attend all facilities mechanical repairs, improvements as assigned. Involve in Lean / CI activities as a team member. * Ability to lift up to fifty (50) pounds occasionally and regularly stand, stoop, reach, kneel, crouch, crawl, climb and balance. This position also requires manual dexterity/fine motor skills. * Ability to work an eight (8) hour shift, frequent overtime may also be required. * Other duties as required by supervision Job Requirements * A high school diploma or equivalent with 5+ years working experience in a manufacturing setting (high-speed manufacturing is preferred). * An Associates/technical degree is preferred or a related vocational/technical certification (journeyman card, technical license, etc.). * Strong proven working experience in preventative maintenance, troubleshooting skills and equipment re-build expertise are required for these roles. * Proficient hands-on experience in Welding /fabrication and assembly of parts / equipment, basic servicing of Fork truck and related handling equipment. Ability to drive fork tricks, aerial lifts and work at high working levels. * Experience in using controls and settings on high-speed automated equipment. * High competency in the use of micrometers, calipers and related equipment. * Strong math and computer skills. * This position also requires the individual to be able to read and interpret mechanical blueprints, electrical schematics and parts specifications. * Effective and proven communication skills working in a team environment. * Proven ability to work effectively in a fast-paced work environment, both as an independent contributor and as a team player * Positive Attitude * Must have the ability to lift up to fifty (50) pounds on occasion Travel None/Not Specified Crown Holdings Aurora IL
