Maintenance Mechanic (Direct Hire)

A truly awesome client of ours in the Tonawanda, NY area is on the hunt for a strong Maintenance Mechanic to support their facility on weekend/overnight shifts. This is a DIRECT HIRE position and it is critical to their operational success so they need someone with extensive experience in a manufacturing facility. Here are some important details to consider:

Reports to: Maintenance Manager

Pay: Position will start at $32.80/hour. Once you are fully trained/certified on their equipment/processes, that rate will increase to $36.44/hour.

Shift: They are currently hiring in to their C & D shifts which are defined as follows:

• C Shift = Sat & Sun, 7am-7pm; Mon & Tues, 11pm-7am
• D Shift = Thurs & Friday, 11pm-7am; Sat & Sun, 7pm-7am

The Job:

Maintenance Mechanics will be tasked with these essential duties:

• Responsible for the maintenance and repair of equipment, machinery, physical facilities and the utilities/controls in the areas assigned.
• Working with blueprints, sketches, maintenance manuals and manufacturing specifications. Lays out work for others when necessary.
• Monitors inventory for parts, completes required paperwork.
• Works to the directive of supervision, informs them of potential problems and makes recommendations for improvements.
• Performs all duties in a safe, neat and orderly manner to maintain safe and good housekeeping conditions within the department

We're looking for skilled Maintenance Mechanics with the following background profile:

• High School Diploma or GED required
• At least two (2) years of continuous employment in a similar role
• Strong knowledgeable of steam, water, air, vacuum, condensate, and other manufacturing systems and equipment with department operations.
