Some of our campuses produce products destined for Health, Home& Beauty; Food and Beverage; Industry & Agriculture; Essential Ingredients; and Renewable Fuels markets. All personnel are responsible for the safety of these products, which includes participation in training, following cGMP and feed/food safety requirements in the facility, and following procedures per instruction of management.

Job Purpose: To provide maintenance to the facility and all process equipment to ensure continued ethanol production.

The following is a list of major duties and responsibilities for this position along with certain supportive duties. It is not all-inclusive. Other duties and responsibilities may be added as needed and in addition; and management may modify this job description as needed.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Analyzes mechanical, electrical and operational problems on plant equipment and plans for and takes preventative and/or corrective action.

  • Makes preventive maintenance checks and inspections of assigned equipment, reports findings to supervisor and takes appropriate action.

  • Willingness to learn the production process to help support operational needs.

  • Must be able to work shift as business needs dictate.

Education/Experience:

  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • 2 to 4 years trade school beneficial and will be considered towards relevant work experience.

Qualifications

  • Ability to follow and provide verbal and written direction in a group or individual environment.

  • Rotating equipment experience on electrically driven equipment up to 400 hp.

  • Welding and fabrication skills.

  • A willingness to work in an environment when priorities and direction can change quickly.

  • Computer skills with CMMS and Microsoft Office applications.

  • 150 psi boiler operation including water treatment, cooling tower and RO systems.

  • Valid driver's license

  • Must have the ability to work different shifts and overtime. This includes the possibility of short-term and long-term shift reassignment to match the needs of the business.

Physical Requirements:

Requirements include frequently standing and walking. Occasionally sit, use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls, and reach with hands and arms, climb stairs and ladders or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, talk, hear and smell. Exposed to hot and cold weather conditions. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, and the ability to adjust or focus.
