  • Corrugated equipment maintenance experience OR related heavy industrial maintenance experience

  • Familiarity and experience with mechanical maintenance on large production machines using basic knowledge in electrical-power, fuses and meters

  • Awareness of OSHA standards for electrical safety

  • Ability to perform basic electrical and mechanical work as necessary

  • Technical understanding and skills with a focus on safety

  • Demonstrated troubleshooting abilities

  • Understanding of control circuits, hydraulics and pneumatics is a plus

  • Ability to read and understand machine manuals, mechanical drawings and blue prints

  • Knowledge of preventive maintenance on motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machines

  • Ability to follow diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer's instructions, and engineering specifications.

Ability to remove defective parts by dismantling devices; using hoists, cranes, and hand and power tools; examining form and texture of parts.

#Maintenance

  • Associate's degree or higher in Industrial Maintenance, Machining, or a related field preferred OR equivalent work experience

  • Demonstrated advanced training or certification in the maintenance mechanical/electrical industry OR demonstrated work experience.

  • Lean manufacturing knowledge, especially 5S, preferred

VIEW JOBS 10/18/2019 12:00:00 AM 2020-01-16T00:00 Description JOB DESCRIPTION: * Maintains the safe operation and maintenance of building facilities, electrical, and mechanical systems and plumbing. * Is responsible for operating and maintaining specific equipment, conducting surveys and inventories, performing preventive maintenance activities, responding to customer complaints, and repairing equipment. * Reads and interprets blueprints, drawings, schematics and written technical documents of general machineries to locate area of trouble and complete repairs accurately. * Repairs and adjusts doors, windows, closures, panic devices and locks. * Patches holes, installs escutcheons, repairs ceiling and floor tile as needed to maintain building appearance. * Makes minor masonry and wood repairs. * Installs pictures, coat hooks, other wall hung furnishings, and equipment as requested. Inspects, operates, repairs, and maintains electrical, mechanical and plumbing equipment and systems common to institutional and residential facilities including lights, receptacles, circuit breakers, motors, switches, and alarms; pumps, valves, fans, compressors, HVAC systems heaters, tanks, emergency generators and similar equipment; expansion tanks, sinks, commodes, hot and cold water systems, circulating pumps and air vents, respectively. May operate and repair steam systems. * May perform chemical tests on a daily basis on chilled water, condenser water, steam and hot water systems. * Adjusts chemical mixtures and feed rates as needed to insure proper levels of water treatment chemicals are maintained. * Enters data into computer systems. * Maintains records and files; interprets applicable regulations and filing and auditing policies and procedures to ensure accuracy and compliance. * Performs related duties as required. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: * A high school diploma or equivalent. * Two years experience in building maintenance. * Working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, structural, and general carpentry. * May require a valid Georgia driver's license and insurable driving record. * Some positions within this classification may require the ability to lift 50 pounds and to bend, stoop, and twist. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: (Medium-Heavy) 36-75 lbs, 0-33% of the work day (occasionally); 20-35 lbs, 34-66% of the workday; (frequently); 10-20 lbs, 67-100% of the workday (constantly); Lifting 75 lbs max; Carrying of objects up to 35 lbs; Occasional to frequent standing & walking; Occasional sitting; Close eye work (computers, typing, reading, writing); Physical demands may vary depending on assigned work area and work tasks. ENVIRONMENTAL FACTORS: Factors affecting environment conditions may vary depending on the assigned work area and tasks.
