The Impact You'll Make in this Role

As a Maintenance Mechanic, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:

  • Support the repairs and preventive maintenance of material handling equipment, both powered and non-powered

  • Maintain batteries.

  • Participate in general maintenance of the facility building and property

Your Skills and Expertise

To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M is looking for candidates who must have the following qualifications:

  • Two (2) year technical college degree is preferred.

  • Minimum 2 years of Maintenance Mechanic experience. Time is required to become familiar with a wide range of equipment and mechanical skills.

  • Able to read and interpret blueprints.

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

  • Must have working knowledge of mechanical processes and design standards, including mechanical symbols and nomenclature.

  • Ability to operate powered lift equipment.

  • OSHA 30 Hours Certification will need to be acquired along with a high value on safety practices.

  • Knowledge and use of hand and power tools, fabrication principles and basic welding processes.

  • Strong performance history as documented on past performance appraisals.

  • Meeting all physical demands of a Maintenance Mechanic.

  • Ability to work required overtime.

  • Possess computer skills to manage multiple equipment and projects

Travel: Not Included

Relocation: Is not authorized

VIEW JOBS 9/18/2020 12:00:00 AM 2020-12-17T00:00 Primary Objective of Position Reporting to the VP / General Manager of our Motorhome business, the Director of Engineering is responsible for leading the Engineering team in the development of recreational vehicles and related products through all phases, from conceptual development and planning through final documentation - delivering outstanding quality products and a great experience to our customers. The Engineering team consists of 90 employees in Forest City, IA. Functions include Engineering Design, Electrical/Chassis Design, and Interior Styling. The position will be based in Forest City, IA, and will require intermittent travel to key suppliers, customers or other Winnebago Industries' locations. Key Areas of Responsibility * Establish an organizational structure with clear roles and responsibilities which focuses the design engineering team on their true priorities limiting distractions and non-value-added work * Create and determine engineering priorities in close cooperation with business leadership. * Set the short and long-range product technology strategies that support profitability, differentiation and growth. * Effectively communicate the engineering vision, objectives, strategies and priorities to the engineering team and key partners. * Lead / manage delivery and implementation of engineering priorities. * Establish a world-class, customer facing New Product Development process. * Hire, coach and develop engineering talent to cultivate a high-performing team focused on delivering business results. * Drive a strong culture of delivering on-time, on-budget projects that meet quality standards taking into account the need to exceed an eight hour work day at times * Speed our time to market with no decrease in quality. * Drive project management execution and process improvements to support delivering superior results. * Partner with Marketing, Product Management, and Operations as well as other functions in formulating product strategies and driving execution. * Plan and manage program schedules, capital budgets, staffing, quality, program spend and department budget to fulfill both the annual and long-range plans. * Build collaborative external partnerships to support development program execution and growth strategy. * Develop advanced technology and determining future system architectures Job Requirements Experience * BS, and preferably an MS in Automotive, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering. * MBA, or strong and proven, business affiliation seen as an advantage * Minimum of 12 years of design and development experience in a related industry. * Minimum of 8 years engineering leadership experience.
