TAT Piedmont is an FAA and EASA Part 145 Repair Station and is one of the largest, most extensively equipped independent maintenance facilities in the world. With a customer base encompassing all segments of aviation, TAT Piedmont provides component repair and overhaul services to valued clients around the globe. We are looking for a qualified Maintenance Manager. Below are some of functions of this position:
The Maintenance Manager will be responsible for overall supervision and coordination of workers activities related to the setup, installation, maintenance and repair of equipment, tools and machinery to ensure to non-stop operation of the plant/location assigned.
Responsible for the development, implementation and day to day supervision of maintenance systems, processes and documentation associated with efficient and High Performing Manufacturing Organizations (Prevention and Predictive Maintenance, TPM, SOP’s, Safety, etc.).
Develops and/or maintains Key Performance Indicators for tracking and reporting the performance of the maintenance function (supplier performance, 3rd party contractor performance, equipment reliability, overall equipment effectiveness, etc.)
Direct workers in electrical, electronic, mechanical hydraulic and pneumatic maintenance and repair of machinery and equipmentConduct scheduled inspectionsAssist and direct workers in diagnosis of malfunctions in equipment and machineryObserve mechanical devices and equipment to determine proper functioning or identify causes of troubleStudies production schedules and estimates worker hour requirements for completion of job assignmentInterprets company policies and safety regulations to ensure compliance and safe work environmentRecommends and implements measures to improve production methods, equipment performance and quality of productPlan and implement a schedule of routine and preventative maintenance procedures and assign and monitor personnelMay perform other duties as assignedManges all third parties performing facility maintenance, upgrades or renovationsCommunicates with plant manager in a timely fashion regarding ongoing and future projectsRequirements
Five (5+) years experience in a production/manufacturing environment working in a maintenance capacity
Three (3) years experience in a supervisory role of at least 5 people
Demonstrated leadership skills, including coaching a team to solve problems and continually improveExperience with production operations and equipment (example: electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, PLC, robotics, safety protocols, etc.)Maintenance technical expertise: technical degree or completion of trade school, or equivalent work experienceStrong with electrical & mechanical fundamentals. Coating or plating experience a plus.
Successful examples of process improvement and kaizenExperience with equipment reliability and new equipment technology related to a start-up, major or new model change, or product launchSkills related to industrial processing (example: PLC programming, controls, IoT data collection / storage / analysis, mechanical precision, vision system, robot maintenance, etc.)Experience with predictive maintenance through condition monitoring (for example: vibration analysis, oil analysis, thermography, current analysis, etc.)Knowledge or experience with Lean Manufacturing Principles (Shop Organization, Visualization, Problem Solving)Very good written and verbal skills and the ability to complete basic reportsAbility to read blueprints, wiring diagrams, process sheets, and assembly schematic drawingsSelf-starter, able to effectively supervise work teams and problem solve to meet the production demandsComfortable with computer systems and software packages such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and e-mailHave strong written and oral communication skills•On-call and shift work required
