Repair major and minor issues with equipment and buildings
Complete maintenance and repair work orders, in a timely fashion
Order and replace broken parts or equipment
Maintain a clean and a safe work space
Plans and establishes work schedules, assignments, and maintenance operations to meet needs of facility. Calculates labor and equipment requirements, resolves racking and tooling issues, reads and analyzes charts, work orders, or production schedules to determine maintenance needs.
Hands-on maintenance duties are required.
Trains new employees and demonstrates equipment operations or work procedures to new employees.
Responsible for ensuring that the maintenance needs of the plant are being met in a timely manner. If the maintenance technicians are unable to troubleshoot/repair maintenance issues then the manager is responsible to either troubleshoot and repair or arrange to have outside vendor resolve.
Inspects materials, products, or equipment to detect defects or malfunctions.
Monitors and patrols entire facility and enforces safety and environmental regulations.
Ensures preventative maintenance is completed; maintains maintenance records.
Requisitions materials, supplies, equipment parts, repair services; maintains accurate inventory and controls inventory flow. Utilizes electronic tracking system for all purchases to ensure budgetary compliance.
Supervisory responsibility for 2 -4 maintenance technicians.
Education and/or Experience:
Associates degree in related field and 5-7 years related experience preferred or 7-10 years experience in lieu of degree required.
Previous experience in maintenance or other related fields
Familiarity with hand-held tools and equipment
